Status: offline 		I wanted to bring something up just to see how others feel about it. Do you feel that a child's life is more important than an adult's life? And if so, why or why not?

I happen to think both are equally important but it seems you hear all the time people are more emotional when they hear it is a child than when it is an  average person. Is this just with parents mostly that feel this way?

So my question is. Do you feel, in general that a child's life is more important than an adult's life?

Status: offline 		I dont feel one is more important than another.  I feel worse for chldren in bad situations becasue they are unable to try and help themselves get out of them, where adults can try and do something to help themselves. However, every life no matter how old or how young is just as important in my eyes.

Status: offline 		Neither are more important, however one has a limited ability to take care of themselves.  If I had to chose between a child's life and mine (and I'm not talking about abortion, let's not go there), I would pick mine for that reason.  Then again, I would pick mine for anyone for different reasons.

Status: offline 		It's an interesting question. I agree with the majority of people here that both are equal in importance.

As a parent, however, I have always felt that my child's life was more important than my own.

Ever so slightly contradictory, I know  ...

If you were unfortunatly in a bad situation where you had a split second to decide wether to save the life of a child or the life of an adult would you automatically save the child just because they are a child? Asume you don't know either of them.

Status: offline 		It reminds me of 8th grade health class when my teacher asked if a man was making you shoot a 46 year old man or an 8-year old boy which would you pick? (the reason why you had to do it was irrelevant apparently)
then he would add things on like it was his dad or things like that.

Nonsense.

[(2 [3] + 4y] = z therefore

z = (6+4y)

You never said the answer had to be exclusively numeric.
