My Master and his wife's wedding anniversary is coming up on October 20th, and I was wondering if giving them something or doing something special for both of them would be appropriate. We all care for each other very much, and I want them to have time to themselves but still let them know that I care.

What are your opinions on this? Any ideas?

Give them a thoughtful present, and stay in the background. If they want you involved, they'll let you know. If they want to be alone with each other, don't get in the way.

That's why I think a material present would be better for an occasion like this than a doing-something-for-them type of present. If you do the wrong thing, you might be interfering with their plans.

I always prefer presents that show some reflection. Don't just go buy something.

Yes, definitely, I don't want to be in the way and upstage plans I'm not in on. Alone time is a must.

I'm working on the "thoughtful" part, heh.

when i was with a Master that had a wife (Domme, but not Mistress to me) on their anniversary i gave them a small present in the form of figurines they collected...inexpensive but still meaningfull to them because i took notice of such things and didn't replecate anything they had because i had carefully noted all they already had...
good luck...
