There are many necklaces that are designed so that they look much like collars. I've seen some that are three or four strands of "pearls" just long enough to be a "choker." Just yesterday on TV I saw a woman with a choker made from large oval flat beads; I had to take a second look - it looked so much like a symbolic collar that I had to wonder, "Is she?"

Or you could wear a black (or any color of your choice) velvet ribbon with a pin at the front that is symbolic of your owned status - even just a plain circle pin.

>>edited to add: The latter is my new Master's preference<<

I have loved choker necklaces since my parents gave me my first one. An antiqey looking one. You can even get those at Target, My Sir gave me a dress collar with black leather and rinestones. there are many like that. But if you want to see the one I got at Target just go to my profile. Its about the 7th picture in. I am wearing a brown dress with a shawl and a pink choker. I have 2 from target. they are both made from ribbon or lace.

If you go to the search button on this page and type in 'collars' you will come up with a gajillion threads, that is how I eventually found the one that I've just had ordered.Mine is from chaotic creations.

Well I saw this and couldnt help but reply to it. A collar that is discreet yet tasteful is hard to find. But I found several I like here

He does lovely work, though its pricey. There are a variety of patterns for the pattern wire variety. You can personalize it with your choices. They are elegant, tasteful and simple. Goo luck and happy shopping

~fast reply~

You can also learn a bit of jewelry making, and create something that is far more personal to you and Your Master.  Just a thought, i have made some choker styles for friends of mine that were looking for a day to day collar, and they loved being able to choose design, colors, pattern, etc.
