That's obvious. Let x = the first three digits of your home phone number, and y = the last four.

The "freaky number test" asks you for:

(80x + 1)250 + 2y - 250

all over 2

which simplifies to

20000x + 250 + 2y - 250

all over 2

which simplifies to

10000x + y

which will always be your home phone number.

I tried it twice and the number wasn't significant at all, what is it supposed to be?

Yeah. Mine didn't work either. I tried it about six times, then tried it with my other phone number. Neither of them worked.

Nevermind. Captain Brilliance that I am I was hitting the square root button instead of the divide button. Did you know I graduated highschool with A's and B's and didn't know how to long divide until two months ago? Sad thing is, I'm not joking. (Yay for Lafayette Catholic Schools).
