Well being as I severly screwed the pooch on the last thread I tried, I will try A less complex topic.

What are the conversations/threads that the experienced most enjoy reading about?

-being that that speands a good deal of time reading and communicating in these, and other forums.

Not being new to "message boards," (however green to the scene LOL) I stop to consider the ones that we, that are green, seek to learn from.

With that, Any one feel like offering up "favorite topics?"

My favorite topics change depending on my situation at the time. As a single sub I hovered around the ask a sub page most and was interested in peoples concept of what submission was. Now that I am in a relationship I am more interested in threads about relocation and such like. The beauty of this site is that the same topics re emerge becuase of the flux of people involved in the scene. This means that there are constantly new ideas to add to old and this helps to change the way you think too. I generally like threads that are controversial and get many responses.

Favorite topics here: true dominates, overweight submissives, "slavery", and so on.

Most anything to do with why people do what they do, can be interesting.

My favorite topics somewhat change. All and all it based on one or more of the following.

Personal Growth factor - What i can learn or gain from a thread.
Sharing of myself - A means for me to share my thoughts and who I really am with other people with similar interests.
Helping Others - What I have to offer other people for their own personal growth.
Humor factor - Some threads are funny as all hell, a good laugh can be priceless.

It's great to be able to exchange and communicate on a variety of topics. One does not have to sit around and wait for the next Munch to bring up a topic to talk about. Many of us are surrounded by vanilla friends and family that don't really grasp much of this lifestyle and BDSM itself.

Sure everybody on this message board might not always see eye to eye on things. But Hell, at least we all can come here and interact with one another. Learn, grow, laugh and even get into a few pissing matches at times. One thing is for certain the threads provoke thought. We learn more about others and ourselves at the same time.

I'll read most any topic cept the ones where the OP comes off to me as whiney or drama. I tend to slame them pretty hard. I seem to get a lot of fan mail from those posts.

Interesting question, I have several posters I look for as they have been here a long time and I respect their ideas and they align with Mine--and that includes D's and s's both--I look at the subject lines and see what interests Me, as some are just too way out there for Me---and I look at posts from the avowed know it all twue ones and sit back and watch the blood bath.

Actually I look for poster that don't agree with me.. So I can get a differing point of view. Who wants to read a post when you already have a pretty good idea of what they are going to say?

I like the ones that are about real people really working through problems and sincerely want to progress in their relationship, recognizing they could use some external perspectives.

.......i find threads most interesting when they explore the gray area between individualism and society. Seems to me, that area is still historically unresolved.

I like threads that express a genuine interest. I like a poster with an open mind. Failing that, I like a thread that is so ridiculous I can mock it. Shrugs, no ones perfect..:)

Well, I like threads in which the subject line actually tells something about the nature of the thread.

Favorite topics for me (in no particular order):

Making an M/s (or D/s) relationship work on a day to day level

Sincere questions of pretty much any nature even if they've been asked 1000 times before

Edge/force/power threads

Evolution of submission (personal growth)

Opening posts which make one think and require a respondant to delve deeper than simply saying yes or no

Confession threads in which someone is asking for help in how to fix a fuck up (I'm great at those having fucked up so much myself!)

There are a handful of posters who, if they are all responding to a particular thread are going to draw my attention to it whether or not I have an initial interest in the subject and there is one poster who I read religiously regardless of what the subject of the thread is because I find his thoughts fascinating.

My usual forums are General, Master, Submissive and, to a lessor extent, the Gor forum because I can't seem to wrap my brains around it's many contradictions so it intrigues me.

I like reading threads that go in a way where people explore the mind set of the situation or events. I often find I learn something new or to be more open to different view points when there is less what to do and more why to do discussions.

I've always been a particular fan of topics that end up causing huge volumes of extremely well built women to send "Griswold" (for those not paying full attention, that's "Griswold AT Collarme DOT com") full length nekkid pictures of themselves in all kinds of sexual and provocative poses.

(But that's just me).

I have avoided responding to this thread yet as to encourage as many honest real answers as possible.

One point I would love to explore deeper is the "it's not so much the topic, as much as the poster(s) we look for".

So to that point, what is it in a poster that you look for? In my case, I look to people who say what they have to say, with out much concern for how others take it, while making a sincere effort to communicate.

What is it about the poster(s) that draws you to single them out?
