There is a rarely used term "cuckquean" which is supposed to be the term for wives whose husbands have sex with other women.

True.  Cuckholding has a wide variety of definitions and different applications based on different people's desires.  I think the definitions provided give you the gist of it, but it's always safe to ask what exactly the person you are talking to means when they use the term.

Marriage need not be an element nor does gender.

SCA - Society for Creative Anachronism - folks who enjoy historical re-enactment and roleplaying.

(He's close...very close).

Cuckolding (no "h") is a term used to describe the process of being a cuckold, which is as many things as being a sub or a Dom (or Domme) is.

The brief version is, a cuckold is, as described above, a man who watches his wife with others...typically other men.  There certainly are those who enjoy the "forced" aspect of things, but being that most of us live in environments wherein which we each have a key to our front doors, ownership of our own cell phones, and in most cases, a ready to use car, bank account and so on, "forced" is a bit too much of a stretch.

But the aspects of same are still emotionally and mentally invigorating, to say the least :)

In most cases, the relationship is with a dominant woman, she typically has complete sexual freedom, while the male does not.

It goes on into any number of deeper or wider kinks, relationships, ownership aspects, but that's the basics.

SCA....now that one is very interesting.

Contrary to the other posters comments, SCA actually stands for "Society (of) Centenarians (of) America".

Very old society, for as one might assume from the name...very old people.

(Honest!!!)

(Unless of course it means something entirely not at all what I said).

"Offical" ( well sorta) answer on what the SCA is as far as Society for Creative Anacronism... which when you mention SCA on here it is what most folks are talking about... is:

The Society for Creative Anachronism, or SCA, is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts, skills, and traditions of pre-17th-century Europe.
Members of the SCA study and take part in a variety of activities, including combat, archery, equestrian activities, costuming, cooking, metalwork, woodworking, music, dance, calligraphy, fiber arts, and much more. If it was done in the Middle Ages or Renaissance, odds are you'll find someone in the SCA interested in recreating it.
What makes the SCA different from a Humanities 101 class is the active participation in the learning process. To learn about the clothing of the period, you research it, then sew and wear it yourself. To learn about combat, you put on armor (which you may have built yourself) and learn how to defeat your opponent. To learn brewing, you make (and sample!) your own wines, meads and beers.
You will frequently hear SCA participants describe the SCA as recreating the Middle Ages "as they ought to have been." In some ways this is true – we choose to use indoor plumbing, heated halls, and sewing machines. In the dead of winter we have more to eat than King's venison, salt pork and dried tubers. However, a better description is that we selectively recreate the culture, choosing elements of the culture that interest and attract us.

It is more then the parties and stuff some say.. and more then the purely academic research others say.. it can be a nice balance. ( that is my bit tossed in there... and how I personaly do things in the SCA. I had my time lugging a sword around, swilling back beers, and dancing on picnick tables. I have mellowed..( gotten old) as has my Kingdom on a whole. )

A good website to look at for more info is www.sca.org find a local Hospitalier if you are interested.
