Classes and their downfalls: Rogue: Excellent Melee DPS, but overrolled on most every server- leads to frustration in endgame when there are already 4 rogues in an SSC run. (BDSM equivalent: Sadist) Warlock: Awesome pets, good caster DPS, free mount, the ability to take on several mobs at once, BUT wears cloth and if your pet dies....I hope you have drain life slotted (BDSM equivalent: Dominant) Priest: (Holy and/or Disc) Amazing healing spells, one of the best healers to have in an instance, BUT you are more than likely the first to gain aggro when the tank drops it, also you wear cloth. (BDSM equivalent: subbie) (Shadow) Mana, Mana, Mana! Your spells at lvl-cap are a joy to all mana users in your group, you basically act as a mana battery and do pretty nice DPS at the same time, BUT you're a priest and though you may be specced shadow every group until end-game where your value is recognized is going to ask you to heal. (BDSM equivalent: SAM) Warrior: Arguably the best tanking class in the game. You get to wear plate, if you choose a bad hairstyle for your toon your helm will almost always hide it, and you can stand in one spot and tank fabulously. BUT there are a lot of effects ( priests PW:Shield, Pallies BOProtection, etc.) that will save your life that can't be used due to the fact that if you're not getting hit, you're not regenerating rage to hit back. (BDSM equivalent: Masochist) Paladin: You can tank, DPS, and heal- this is one of the most versatile classes in the game. Often preferred over other classes in end-game due to their ability to wear plate and heal/tank/dps at the same time, BUT you will always be figuring out which piece of armor goes with which gear (healing, tanking, DPS) as well as the fact that well, most pallies are incredibly narcisisstic. (BDSM equivalent: Switch) Druid: Another hybrid class. Tanking, Healing, and DPS are all viable for this toon, but this one has the added bonus of being able to switch during battle. (not gear, but forms) Druids get bear, cat, travel, flight, sea-otter thingy, tree (for healing spec) and moonkin (for DPS spec). BUT, druids with guilds are more often than not pressured to respec to resto ( healing). (BDSM equivalent: Switch) Shaman: Four-elements, four totems. Mail wearing, awesome DPS. Loved by ret pallies for windfury totem and loved by healers for healing stream/mana stream totems. BUT, if you don't like to set up before a fight, this is not the class for you. Totem-whores =D (BDSM equivalent: Switch) Alright, so that's it for the newbie list, and just so you know, not every class is really able to solo quickly. For example, my new priesty is lvling holy just for fun, and it's taken me three weeks now to get her to 40. There was a lifestyle only guild on Stormscale about a year and a half ago started by a ton named Loonyprof, and I'm sure there are more, I may have to reroll and/or transfer to join this guild you guys are setting up, leaving one of my mains as GLeader of my guild now. Anyways- WoW rocks and it's addicting.
