I didnt really know where to put this, its generally just a question I have out of interest not anything else. I have noticed on many Domme profiles that they ask for tributes, normally stating paypal and amzon but this seems to be virtually non exsistant on Doms profiles, I just wondered firstly what really is a tribute? Is it just a gift? And why there is this apparent gender division, i know generalisations are silly and I am sure that some Doms do require it but it does seem more prevelent on Dommes pages.

tribute = payment for services (although I'm sure some would argue otherwise) there are more pro females than males... hence the difference... are there any pro males? and if you do a search, I'm sure you'll find several discussions on this...

Doms generally recieve tributes of sexual services. Dommes can get laid and would often rather have gifts and cash for thier services. Not all of either gender require "payment" . How ever there is always "something" exchanged or dominant's would just be performing monkeys for a bottoms pleasure now wouldn't they?

Mmmm thinking. Which at times is not a good thing. I have not seen a Dom with a profile asking for money. This is tempting me to change my profile and see how the money thing works out. I have been offered gifts but have turned them down. I feel accepting a gift obligates me to that person. Probably a stupid assumption but thats me.

Thanks for the links LA, I was wondering about the general nature of it, IE if i was in a personal relationship with someone I dont think I would want to be told to buy them gifts etc to express my feelings for them I didnt actually realise it was a Pro Domme thing and that makes a bit more sense to me now, gosh I sound a bit thick dont i.

Online and at parties there are more male than females. The imbalance between male subs and dommes is so high, that they can charge for time spent learning whether or not they are compatible with someone. As far as playing with people they aren't interested in? Well, usually it's more servicing a fetish than receiving service. And have you priced latex clothing lately? If they aren't getting anything out of the interaction, they won't engage in it. The easiest way to get something in return is to set up an Amazon wishlist. This way they know they'll get paid, if they wait till afterwards, they'll get stiffed. The only pro male tops I know of solely serve the gay community. Honestly, women can get beat and fucked for nothing. Men can't.
