Status: offline 		They just might not have noticed what was in the background.  My pic's a couple years old, and a couple months after I had taken it, I sent it off to a friend I used to chat with and he treated me to an extended commentary on all the "stuff" he could see.  I had sent it out to alot of people and he was the first to comment on what was in the background.  Honest to god, I hadn't even noticed that "stuff" untill he pointed it out to me.  It still makes me chuckle.

It's actually my dorm room, and when those pictures were taken I was just experimenting with angles and poses and outfits and things and didn't even think about the mess. And it was a tub full of play clothes I had that I'd been digging around in.
I hadn't even intended to keep or share most of the pictures except that Master wanted to see them. He chose most of the pictures to be put up, and I admit I was a tad *cough* embarrassed about the mess but I seem to have difficulty duplicating the pictures and in at least one of them I have been able to say that it's more of a "puppy's in trouble for disasterizing her room" kind of idea.
For the darker one, that is in Master's living room on my puppy bed. I have my homework and the things I'd just changed out of
under me, I also never thought we'd be sharing any of these pictures so I never thought about it but I think I'll put more thought into what's around me the next time I let someone start snapping photos.

I've contemplated asking permission to take down the two most provocative pictures but I never remember long enough to actually ask. I think I'll remember this time.  *shyness*

Status: offline 		She didnt take them down, I did. The generally cluttered ones of her were in her dorm room. The others are in my livingroom and it was clean save for the stuff that got piled on the futon. We kind of jumped into playing that day and things were just dropped right there. I snapped a few pictures and she took some of me at my desk. My desk is always a wreck, and the futon was kind of the drop off point for a lot of things during that visit, but neither one is the benchmark of my place.

Ill crop the pictures myself later, assuming she doesnt still want them taken down.

Years ago, I was invited to go to a bunch of munches and play parties local to me.  I was almost always shocked unpleasantly to arrive at these people's houses for their party and see leftover pizza boxes from last week, dead cars in the front yard, a carpet that screamed for a vacuum, and worries whether it was impossible to sit without worrying what I was liable to stick to.

I went to a couple of them at places that were extremely clean, organized, etc.

Guess which set of individuals I felt were actually in control of their lives.

It's one of various reasons I'm usually picky about which shots I want to use. There have been times when things have been less tidy than I like, for instance. Such as after moving house. That tends to look a right mess the first few days, at least for me it does. Yet, it invariably happens to be the case that there is a certain vigor and freshness to the situation after a move that prompts me to take new pictures. And some of those turn out really well. Whether I use them or not, will generally depend on whether I think the merits of the picture outstrip whatever "dirty laundry" they may display. I'm not too fond of using pictures of myself having just woken up, either, despite how cute they may be to someone that already knows me.

I'm not inclined to assume all pictures reflect normal conditions, but neither do I find it appealing when they depict a rat's nest.

You're more than welcome to help us with things like unpacking, organizing, setting up humidity control, etc...

It's a nice blend of fiction, technical literature and reference literature in various subjects.

On the other hand, we don't have a ton of shoes, toys and so forth.
