I would like to take this opportunity to say that I am madly in love with "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". We started a love affair in sixth grade. I'm afraid that several books by Douglas Adams were abused in my torrid love affair with his novels. After I realized that I'd torn through them all in under a week, I parted their company to cause them no further harm. When I was fourteen I strolled through the sci-fi section of the local library and noticed my old flame waiting for me to pick it back up and start again. After another fulfilling session with my old love, I once again lost track of all that those books have taught me. Then, glory of glories, a decent movie was recently made of them! (Drums, cymbals). It was like greeting an old friend after a long absence. I bought the DVD as soon as it came out. If you haven't read them yet (yes, there is more than one), read them. If you haven't watched it yet, watch them. It sounds a bit odd to say that I found a deep sense of truth in a series of hilarious books, but I did. Listen to what the author had to say. You'll find it's deeper than you thought. Mainly, though, I learned one thing: Don't take life too damned seriously. Thank you for allowing me to go off on my little tangent, and of course, so long, and thanks for all the fish.
