The Supreme Court did not take the case against the Bush Administration this leaving warrentless wiretapping in place.

Interestingly, it only takes 4 justices to grant a petition for a case to be heard.  Thus, even the 4 liberal leaning justices were unwilling to let the case proceed.

the world will be un-recognizable 30 yrs from now.

everything is becoming such a hastle.

im not sure --well- that i love the modern world.  the grid is always right, never to be challenged or questioned.  worse yet- we are letting this happen.

Better to not have a ruling and set no precedent than to take the case and set a precedent in favor of such actions. Stare Decisis would make it much harder to undo this crap if the SCOTUS was to set a precedent.

Yeh this becomes the american people against the government where our rights trump the governments "classified" issues.

So much for a right to a speedy trial, lets delay as llong as we can so they can continue to violate our rights unimpeded.

I suppose the 1776 constitution does not set a precedent in some people eyes.

Despite the fact that the right-wing nutjobs have the ability to wiretap, can anybody provide an example where this has been used to actually solve or prevent a crime?

Here is a more detailed article. http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jyusZ2V1ACKGV2iJuGVmuPUERi_QD8UTICG00

So because it is a catch 22 where it is govt secrets of who is under survilance.. and even if you do "mistakenly" get your own trasnscripts of your stuff.. you can not take them to court because it is all top secret. They are in fact immune.. even though it is illegal at it's core. What a stinking pile of bullshit.
