True. I used to have a lot more info but then I thought I'd try the minimalist approach too and see how it worked.

Status: offline 		No effort whatsoever, I am getting ready for a play party, lets see, no effort - yesterday I colored my hair, then left the conditioner on overnight which meant wearing a crackly plastic cap to bed, ever sleep on one of those?
This morning I showered, got the goop out of my hair, lotioned my body, shaved my legs, packed for an overnight, not just regular clothing but fet wear, makeup, shoes. Once I get dressed I have to lug my overnight bag, my toy suitcase (large) and an artists tube to the car, drive for an hour and a half on my own & lug everything into the venue.

Of course last month there was choosing and paying for rather pricey fet wear so I can look like it is no effort at all.

And as for advertising - over 6 years I have had thousands of replies, 75% of which start with I am new or I am married or live on another continent and want desperately to join me here. There are the meetings over coffee that go nowhere and occasionally, but very rarely, one finds a friend or a sub who doesn't stay because it wasn't what he expected.

So, yes, all around, we make no effort whatsoever.

Let's see, I've been looking for a boy for about two years....between answering dozens of emails and meeting a lot of them, going to workshops, practicing, buying and maintainign my equipment, and improving myself in almost every way I can, I'm almost ready to give up.
Most of the males who answer Domme's ads are NOT submissive. They may be horny, lonely, twelve, married, or whatever, but they are not looking for a relationship with a dominant woman.
They act shocked when they hear that A. I am a human, not a cyber fantasy; B. I expect something in return (not money, but perhaps service of some kind); C. It's not all about sex for me.
There is one heck of a difference between a sub and a horny geek who wants to live out his fantasy.
Effort?
It's hardly worth the effort.

Status: offline 		i realize i'm not a Domme, so maybe i should keep my mouth shut (not that it ever has before..lol), but when i read the title of this thread i have to admit i was shocked and offended. i don't often see such blantant sexism anymore -- was hoping most were past it, especially those of us who participate in an alternate lifestyle that has enough built in problems from those looking in from the outside.

It might be the result of getting a lot of one-line mails or mails from folks who haven't bothered to read the profile -- if the audience won't read beyond one line, why write more than one line?

Why? Because if you are looking for something particular or for a relationship instead of just a scene the more information you give the odds are you'll get a better group of replies.

My profile is fairly descriptive but I've gotten many mails already that clearly didn't read beyond the "dominant female" part.

I've gotten a few that did indeed read.

The next sticking point is the wanting to scene right now attitude. No talking, no questions, just "here's my chat address" and "when can I meet you".

Just think of it this way. The kind of man that will respond to her ad will probably be equivalent to the quality of the ad. The boys worth snagging, well you got to work to attract those a little more. And the pay off is grand ;-)

Its just one of the many hypocritical things on CM where the Dommes expect full on profiles yet they think 'Im a Domme, Dont question me about it becuase I the one that asks the questions, be happy Im responding'.....
