For those that don't know and those who think they know or even just a bit of fun, try this;

http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

So the question, are you what you thought you were and what does this new insight mean to you?

I am even with the Dalai Lama, and only slightly more right than Ghandi.

Looks like i am even with Ghandi, a little bit more left than Mandela, more left than the Dali Lama.

That was interesting, and the results do not surprise me at all.  i acknowledge i am one of those damned left wingers

Is Ghengis Khan on there?  Because I'm just to the right of him.

I suppose I should add, I am in with Ghandi too, which was more or less what I figured.

It might be interesting to see what the political make up is of the people who visit CM.forums.

I went there, to that site as politics I am kind of disinterested in, but keep hearing this that and the other bandied about, so I though I would look at what label could be applied to my essence of politics.

I am slightly left of Friedman, and pretty far to the right of Ghandi.  I am a right wing, libertarian.  I knew that already.

I'm right there with Ghandi, no surprise there.

2.5 Libertarian
4.0 Right

So but then again many of the questions I was torn on agree or disagree based on the question. So likely a bit less right than the result, and a bit mor Libertarian as well.

I'm a right-wing (very slightly over the line) Libertarian.  Interesting website - thank you for sharing.  Tough questions, some of them.

I am 3 points left and 3 point libertarian.    I consider that evaluation to be quite accurate of my personal views.

That puts me slightly to the right of Ghandi.

On a side note, I had a rather pissy discussion with an obsessed individual tonight at the poker game.    I sought to tell him "we will simply have to agree to disagree" and he did during the game.    After the game he sought to continue the discussion and go even more argumentative.    I'm rather aggrevated by the whole confrontation and would have loved to have been a bit primative on his face.   That said, I walked away very angry and find this exercise somewhat comforting.     Thanks to the OP!!!!!!

As usual I came in very close to the middle.

No big surprise there, I always come out as "Moderate" in any of these tests that I take.
It's strange, some people think I'm a conservative. I am conservative "fiscally", I don't want the govt pissing away our Taxdollars, I do want them enforcing all our laws but I don't want them involved in many of the things that they're doing today.
On the other side I have no problem with gay marriage or adoption.
I think if you want to smoke a joint go right ahead.
I think that govt. should stay out of people's business as much as possible.
And of course I don't like George Bush or Ted Kennedy.
I really don't care for Dem or Rep politics. I think we need more "choices" when we go into the voting booth.

I'm a touch surprised I'm more anarchist than The Dalai Lama, considering he spent his life floating around and I spend around 55 hours a week working as a Project Manager (with an accountancy background). Something doesn't add up.......I'm trapped in this mad world!
