Slave here answering. Master and I met here on CM. I contacted him about something he had written in his journal which touched me. This sparked a week's worth of chatty emails and finally I requested his picture. We exchanged, and were both pleased with what we found. Two months later after discussion of our roles within the relationship we discussed my wearing his collar. I accepted and wear it proudly. We see our relationship as one of growth and learning together. He has a considerable amount of BDSM experience, whereas my experience has been much less considerable. We discuss where we stand, how we are feeling and assess our relationship at times to be sure we are both comfortable. This happened rather quickly for us, which I acknowledge can be a problem at times, but we've been able to iron out personal issues which have arisen between us. Communication is the key for us. Fortunately, Master is a wonder at listening and respecting what is said and we are able to process feelings and emotions and make them managable rather than permitting fears or doubts to take over in the relationship...which could make it turn into the dreaded drama-fest of emotions where no one wins.

We met here on CM 6 months ago. We began by emails, IM, phone calls, every single day. InkedMaster was not about to let distance be a problem but was also wise enough not to seek so far away that meeting would be a huge burden. We met in person within 6 weeks of initial contact. Since then, we have spent extended weekends (four days) together being just us. Yes, there's been plenty of play but also plenty of day-to-day activities like grocery shopping, cooking, watching tv, etc. On my second extended weekend, i came to Him and begged His collar and He accepted me. (took a LOT longer than 10-20 hours because we both wanted this relationship to be as permanent as a relationship can be.) We talked. We talked about everything from politics to religion to careers to family to which is the proper way to hang the toilet-paper roll. We shared stories, experiences, jokes. We discussed likes, dislikes, fetishes, fantasies, what we considered limits, our previous relationships, our goals for this relationship.

i just have to say that sometimes it does work out. my Master and i met on Alt.com, started chatting on a Monday, talked on the phone Tuesday and Wednesday, met in person (and played!!) on Thursday and He collared me on Friday. Have been together for 4+ years now. Dont assume all who meet and collar quickly are velcro collars.
