Is it possible someone can help me here, I am having serious problems updating my profile on the other side. I have changed the wording, but when I try to view the profile, I get a load of html script.

In my exasperation, I very nearly hit the delete profile button, the question I have is does this button wipe the profile so it may be rewritten, or does it do more, possibly things I do not want, like close account?

Take thre verbiage, copy and paste it into Notepad to strip the formatting, update the profile with it blank(make sure there are no invisible spaces etc) then paste the words back in and update again.

"Profile Not Found" can simply mean that the person clicked the "Hide Profile" button.

I know, but he was asking about his redo not working so I checked his profile. (I'm pretty sure he is weal too but proof is always good)

I have found that I can only edit my profile using IE, for some reason it doesn't work with firefox.  Could it be a problem related to the browser you are using?

This was my first impression and I feel it's likely the problem.

Aneirin, I'd suggest you try using Internet Explorer from your computer, or even trying another computer with it, to edit your profile.  (If you get one back.  :P)  If this doesn't work, then you can tell us and we can go to the next most likely problem/solution set.

Thanks to you all for your help, I knew I could rely on you to come up with some useful suggestions.

I am at the moment trying to get my new Vista machine online, so far I have the wireless connection, but it won't connect to my broadband, time to phone my ISP I think.

When the Vista pc is online I will try again and use Explorer.

Incidently, the last time my profile was remodelled, it was done via IE on a friend' puter. Mine normally runs on Firefox or Opera.

It is high time this old puter was retired,as I am getting fed up with fixing bugs and the lethargic pace it moves at. I also don't need the extra heating it and all it's peripherals provides.

An update, still on the old puter, which has been restarted and scanned for junk. The profile I think is ok now as I managed to get some sense out of IE . The photos will have to go through the usual vetting process, so whenever that happens.

So, maybe the problem was Firefox, I wonder.
