I have just got back from a munch, my first in Leeds (recommends it for anyone curious, really lovely bunch of people) .. and the end of the munch there was a needle play demo. Now needles have always been a big NO! NO! for me. Those who know me a bit better know I have some medical things going on and they involve some seriously unpleasant contact with needles on a fairly regular basis. Seeing them objectively, not as part of extremem edgy play .. and seeing some of the beautiful decoration that can be created ..made me see needles in a totally different light .. Now i dont mean to imply that I am now totally cool with needles .. and if you brought a big one too near me i would probably find and excuse to lock myself safely in the bathroom .. but they are now something i really want to try .. and it is directly as a result of having had the chance to look at the thing objectively and dealing with them from a remote perspective. I was able to process what I was thinking withour having to also process what I was physically feeling. So anyway .. to the point eventually ... What NO! NO! have you had turned to a YES! YES! and what helped you to make that transition?

I don't have a NO to YES - just felt moved to say I so admire people with an open-minded attitude to life. Closed off prejudice against a form of play can lose one so much. Good for you soft.

Pain play in general ... When I first became interested in BDSM I was totally against pain. I didn't even like spankings if they hurt too badly. Gradually though I've discovered my inner masochist and the more I learn, the more I think I am less of a submissive and more of a masochistic bottom. I'm not sure HOW this change of heart occured ... I guess it was just natural progression for me. As I learned to trust my partners, I was more open to trying new things and the more I tried, the more I enjoyed.

Hmm my oh hells no was Breath play and those damn clothes pins.. you are a stronger woman then I am, softness-- I'm a baby when it comes to needles (I have to close my eyes when they draw blood). Water sports was a no for me until someone told me how he viewed it and it sounded more appealing then how I'd always looked at it, so now it's a maybe.
