LeatherMasterKY -> RE: Leather by Leatherist. (3/5/2008 5:56:52 PM)

Leatherist...you know I was teasing right?...

Leatherist -> RE: Leather by Leatherist. (3/5/2008 6:49:19 PM)

I just had to clarify-since a few people messaged me who evidently thought otherwise guy.

But the model offer is for real.  So long as someone who takes me up on it will conduct themselves in a professional manner. I've had several amatuers flake on me so far, and I am getting tired of it.

Oh crap! That was me! He uses my laptop to log into His account, and I end up saying girly stuff under a studly moniker...*lol*

That is one gorgeous piece of work! I agree with posting a link once the website is done.
Even if the price is high, and it takes a long time to make - I find ALL products are usually more satisfactory when they're made with love [:)]

Nice work. Nice pics!

I doubt I could possibly do better than the model than you already have, but wanted to make a comment on the craft.

Anyone who is so precise about their work when it comes to matched sets is absolutely wonderful in My eyes.  The dedication is obvious in your work.

Thank you. It takes a considerable investment in time and tooling to get these things right. Lots of time and materials get thrown out in experimentation, and perfecting the ideas into tangible realities. I'm usually not satisfied with the first few attempts, even when they do work.

I don't make things just to make a buck. I make them as if they were going to be mine.

Does that make a difference? Only the end user can really decide that.

Beautiful. I've done modeling work in the past, though not on a bdsm front, and also make my own leatherthings - when I have time. And really, beautiful craftsmanship. Model too ;)

I'm going to try to finish off those padded double wrap cuffs I have had sitting on the workbench tonight. As soon as I recover from work-I hate working weekends. With any luck, I can get them mailed to cherry by monday.

Thank you for the compliment, it's nice to see someone else on here that does good work.[;)]

Wish I was in your neck of the woods.  I would have liked a chance to model beautiful stuff like this.  Looking forward to seeing the website.

Mini hijack-
I am doing some work with leather as well. I have no knowledge of tooling it, however. Could you recommend a book or link that would get me started in that direction?

The tandy books are pretty good. I don't do a lot of surface tooling myself. I'm more into elegance of a basic design, and attention to joinery details and fit. So I am not the best one to seek advice of on embellishments.

Welcome to the site cherry-it's really great to see you here! [:D]

By the way,you have mail. I finished another binder in that pattern that is a couple of inches shorter-I noticed that your hands were not all the way down in the last one-would you like it?

Leatherist -> RE: Leather by Leatherist. (4/26/2008 12:04:59 AM)

And to add, of all of the people I have tried to do trades with-Cherry is the ONLY one who has come through satisfactorily with. Everyone else was either substandard-or just flaked totally.

Corvidae -> RE: Leather by Leatherist. (4/27/2008 3:05:18 PM)

Lovely work and a lovely model =). I admire your attention to form as well as function.
Best of luck on your new business... with items of such quality, I'm sure you will find many happy customers!
