Nosathro -> The Commission Report on 9/11 (2/24/2008 11:34:31 AM)

The Commission that investigated the attack by al-Qaida is about to be published and already there are parts being released a few I find interesting.  Before the attack then Attorney General Ashcroft told both the FBI and the CIA that he did not want to hear any reports about al-Qaida.  Both agencies had been recieving reports about the groups activities and meet with Ashcroft but responded in one meeting rather angrily "I don't want you to ever talk to me about al-Qaida and these threats."

Vice President Dick Cheney has public stated that President Bush gave the order to shoot down one of the planes, the one that later crashed in Pennsylvania actually gave the order on his own, a violation of law.  He has continued to have this removed from the report.

Then National Security Adviser Condolezza Rice who job it is inform the President about terrorist threats and had been given daily reports on them decided that since the President was ignorate on terrorist she would keep him that way.  She never told him about the warnings.  To quote her "I took the President't thoughts and helped him (The President) describe what he was thinking."  She is now Secertary of State.
