This almost speaks for itself if you simply read and watch it. This is how our government trades in favors involving billions of dollars.

Obviously, I oppose this kind of waste. This is the deep sickness at the heart of our state and federal governments.

Churro, this is why we need to outlaw lobbying.I
I wouldn't call then "lobbyists", I'd call them something else.

One of the wisest men to grace our White House.

And apparently, a prophet too.

Once a government department gets beyond a certain mass ie budget appropriation, number of staff etc it will grow exponentially never failing to rationalise it actions along the way. That is the danger that extreme left wing Churro does not appear to recognise.
This is as true of the Human Rights brigade as the military/industrial complex.

A spectacular example in the UK is road safety. Millions are squandered on bus lanes painted green and unused for 90% of the time, traffic lights here there and everywhere, speed cameras, road humps, artificial bottlenecks etc etc. A roundabout will be altered and then a very short time later ripped up and altered again.

Meanwhile road death numbers remain stubbornly unmoved and the road safety/highway dept. carries blithely and blindly on and on planning next year's uselessness spending other peoples money.

As much as I dislike Bush, I really do love one executive order that he recently signed:

In short, the Federal government is not allowed to accept money from earmarks that were slipped into the budget after Congress voted for them.   Unfortunately, he didn't put this into place back when it was early in his term.   geee....Wonder why?

Also unfotunately, it won't intercept funding that goes to non-Federal government operations such as State agencies.

Gripes asside, it is a really good EO.
