Hello angel, Good luck with your son, it's still a right-handed's world : even a can opener is easier to use for a right-handed person, except if you bought it at a shop for left handed people. Anyway, I guess the reason why the proportion of left handed people is increasing is that not so long ago, the left side used to be the bad side, after all Jesus is at the right side of the Father... Many people over 50 or even just 40 were forced to use their right hand when they learnt to write, and actually some teachers still force their pupils to write with the right hand because they don't know how to write with the left hand. (Maybe left handed people should all do like Michelangelo, it would be easier for them ;) ). Anyway... I got what you meant :). I agree, the statement didn't make much sense, but yes, if you sneeze really hard with your mouth shut, pinching your nose and your fingers in your ears, your eyes will pop out, for sure. I think it happened to the great philosopher Calvin. I think people were afraid that their soul might escape, which is why they "had to" make the cross sign (or say "bless you", "Jesus", or whatever) to prevent that. Before that, it was caused by gods, and was religiously respected (Cf. Xenophon). Oh, and the word "sinister" means left, in latin.
