Ok i LOVE collars, i colect them, i ahve collars whit lace, and of leather and simple and equisite, but some pepole in the lifestyle seam to think i am insane to actualy colect them, why is that. You see to me, a collar is just a pretty pice of clothing whit some symbol valune, that fit well whit my tad bit gothic clothing, and thye are werry modd inspiering but one strip of lether dont symbolise my entire relationship whit my Dom, the collar he has placed on me is mutch more deep that a physical one, so what is the matter whit having several physical collars i wear or not after what mood i am in.

ChastityLocked -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 10:25:34 AM)

well, I do have one but never wear it. I really dont look to "good" in a collar, if u ask me. I do love collars on females though, esp the metal ones that lock, or the ones with the ring in the front. Leather ones are also very sexy, but cheaper then the metal ones. What ones are your favorates?

perverseangelic -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 10:29:38 AM)

Collars are one of my very few fetishes. I adore them.

I have pretty dress up ones, of a huge variety, and untill a couple days ago, I had one I wore at all times. The lock started discoloring my neck though, so we're looking again.

Yum.

I don't know if this is the same problem you had, but my former slave had an issue with the lock discoloring her skin, too. Turns out, I had the lock engraved with my monogram. There was a coating on the lock, but the coating was broken during the engraving. I replaced the lock with one that wasn't engraved, and the problem was solved. She wore the collar and lock continuiously for over four years without a problem.

ChastityLockedi adore the metal ones, i want a Gorean style collar, simply a steel ring that locks, otherwise i do adore elaborate ones, collars whit plenty of lace and ruffles whit a core of lether. But other kinds like plain lether, posture and even things like a simple chain whit a padlock is nice to.

KatyLied -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 11:33:17 AM)

All I have is a doggy collar. Does that count? It is my fav color....red.

[:D]

nella -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 12:01:03 PM)

i have a doggie collar two, it is black whit butiful patterns on it.

KatyLied -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 12:04:40 PM)

I will make no modifications to my doggy collar. I like it the way it is.

nella -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 12:49:55 PM)

Simple is elegant.

ChastityLocked -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 1:13:08 PM)

I dunno, seems silly to me that others wouldn't understand your attraction. Even outside the D/s aspect, chokers and ornate collars on women have always been a popular fashion accessory -- the female neck is longer than the male (well, not really, it's an illusion because of the bone angles) so it's a strong sexual characteristic.

Women doing things to accentuate their necks makes us very happy :)

JamesLynn2005 -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 2:03:51 PM)

I have 3 collars - one that is a choker necklace that only my Husband and I know what it means, one that is a real collar that is also my "public" collar that looks very elligant <sp?>, and then there is what we call the "training" collar that W/we use when we are sceneing or strictly around the house. I love all three and actually would like to get some others that I have had my eye on for a while.

Thank you, I think that was the problem I think I actually wore the coating off, as it was a cheap lock.

Hopefully I'll find something better, for now though, I know it's there and my fetish can wait.

A posture colar is a colar the keeps the submissive in some position, it might have rings to lock wrins restraints to, or be desigened to keep her head up, and so on. Is uncofortable as hell to wear, but looks werry nice.

truesubboy -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 5:33:43 PM)

I don't think it's wrong to collect collars at all. There is an inherent beauty in each collar, as I'm sure you know. I also wouldn't think that one, particular collar is special; but rather the act of placing a collar on the slave and the fact that the slave is constrained by the collar in a scene. Collect away.

OsideGirl -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 5:46:34 PM)

I have 3 collars. A play collar of leather with a big ring on the front,a posture collar and an Eternity Collar.

The Eternity Collar is high grade stainless steel, so it doesn't discolor skin and can stay on for long periods of time. I like this collar because the vanillas just think it's a piece of jewelry. www.eternitycollars.com

thetammyjo -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 5:58:10 PM)

I love collars too -- love putting them on people and seeing them on people.

Must confess that I get a bit annoyed though if its just a fashion statement -- I want it to mean more!

And I get so turned on when I see one that means something.

I have two collars for Fox -- one a unique leather one a leatherworker friend made while the other is just stainless steal chainlinks; both lock because I don't see the point in having a collar as symbol of my ownership if it doesn't lock.

I have a training collar as well when I'm working with a potential -- not locking, hasn't been earned (by other party).

LadiesBladewing -> RE: Collars. (9/19/2005 6:13:28 PM)

Brass locks will also tend to discolor the skin. Choosing a lock of stainless steel or a jewelers lock of silverplate or goldplate may resolve the problem

Well, i knew what it was, hehe, but i was asking if you had one or not. There are so many types out there, some that are only slightly big and some that r like neck braces. I find thoes really sexy, but then again, a simple metal locking one or leather one is also very sexy

yeh, tredy girls seem to do this, who think they r punk or gothic or w/e... thus why id want to attach a small key on it w/ my name, so it means something on the girls neck

hehe, i agree 100% there. We need more things to have the option of a lock on it. Why would u put a colla ron a girl that isnt locking? she can just take it off!

I have a training collar as well

Whats that one like?

My training collar is as simple leather dogcollar design, just black and a front d-ring.

I once went up to a cute boy wearing a collar when we live in NYC and I said "Nice collar. Does it mean anything?" And he replied "Ah, that I like dogs?" So I just smiled and walked away. Such a waste...
