How would i figure out what size female shoes i would wear im a size 10 1/2 - 11 thank You for all the help!!

Typically you add two sizes to the male version. So, you would wear a 12 1/2 to 13. If you have a wide foot...go to the bigger size.

Once when accompanying my spouse shoe shopping I was approached by a saleswoman who asked if she could help me. Being a smartass I replied that I was looking for a something in a red patent pump. She said she would be happy to assist me if I was serious. I was embarassed as I was just trying to make a joke. I asked her if she had a many men asking for womens shoes. She assured me that it not that un-common. I recall that the commented that men tended to buy more expensive women's shoes and were less trouble as customers. Maybe you could go to the women's department of a shoe store and get measured? Or use one of the measurment gizmo's to measure yourself?

So shoe sizes are different for men and women in the US? That complicates matters! Much easier here - adult sizes are the same system, so if youre a male 8 youre a female 8 too; albeit that womens' shoes tend to be narrower than mens' so you might need an 8W (W=Wide) or a 9. But then you get into the problem of can you get a woman's shoe in size 9 (they mostly go to 7, occasionally 8). The latest generation of young ladies is helping out - there are a lot more tall girls around now and shops are having to cater for their slightly larger feet! And mail order for larger feet - (real womens' shoes, not CD) - is taking off here and maybe there too? Things to watch for; your feet will be wider most likely than a woman's - so you might need a wider fit or a longer shoe. Also you may find your feet are bigger at the toe end (deeper)- which can be a nightmare for a lot of strappy sandals which have been made for more dainty tootsies. And watch out too for your weight - not that youre going to collapse a heel or anything, but if you wear heels and have more weight than you might, you may find your toes need more room than the shoe might allow for. I'm a cross dresser myself and have found that shoes are proof that universe is infinite and expanding - since it's IMPOSSIBLE to own enough shoes!!! I'm in the U.S. so I wear a men's 9 1/2 and can USUALLY wear a ladies size 11 which are generally comfortable except in very high heels - where I tend to get a 12 (particularly in boots where some wiggle room is nice). So heel height matters! What are you going to do with them? If you're just planning on posing in them or sitting around a room - they don't need to be too comfortable but if you're going go dancing - you had better be sure they feel good. Nothing beats trying them on which, yeah - can be kind of embarrassing but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger - and trust me - it won't kill you. Have fun dear! Jennifer

E Lady Ellen: Yes, we have the dubious distinction of different sizes for men and women. A man's 9 is about a woman's 10½, usually rounded up to 11. The widths are different as well, a man's medium width is D, a woman's is B. Of course the numbers don't quite line up with UK sizes either. Japan seems to have one of the more sensible systems. The size is simply the lenght of the foot in centimetres; I assume that widths differ between men's and women's shoes. The European system is based on the supremely logical (not!) difference of 6.6 mm from one size to the next. Here is a conversion chart for shoe sizes around the world. I've found that I can go a size down in most women's shoes if I can get them in wide (e.g. man's 9 -> woman's 11 -> woman's 10W). Hope that helps muddy the waters! Tasha

not only that but one womans 8 in one brand is not the same size as a womans 8 in another brand.....they just do it to overwhelm and cultivate the shopping gene in women. And that is how they can actually ask, does my all look fat in THIS? Ron

I am a biological female with a BIG ASSED FOOT. I wear a size 13WW in Women's. I guess I have to have a large foot since I am over 6' tall...just helps balance things out...damn physics. Anyway, I wear a man's 12 medium width, in sneakers but if I were to purchase say some casual unisex looking shoes, I would go with a 10.5 to an 11. It depends on the style, the manufacturer, the price etc. Here is something you can do. If there is a Payless Shoe Store (the only walk in store I have found with large sizes for women that don't have to be special ordered) close to you, go in there and try on something....that will give you a quick idea and you don't have to bother a sales person to fit you.

Lady Hathor, You are right. It was fun to have Mistress take me into Sunset Novelties to try on some shoes. I was totally embarrassed as Mistress was consulting the saleswoman on what sizes and styles were available. M face was beet red. Unfortunately for me i wear a 15EEEE in mens, so i would need a 17 wide in womens[:(]. I hate my big feet at times. My feet limit me on what i can wear, usually i find one pair of mens shoes per year without having to special order them. It seems like every time i find a pair of shoes that is my size, the theme from Indiana Jones comes on in my head as if i was in Raiders off the Lost Ark, and i await the big rolling ball to come after me when i grab them, lol.

There is nothing like the look on your subs face when he realizes that we are not in the shoe department for ME, but in fact, we are there for HIM. Although you can try to apply a formula, I find that the style of the shoe, size of the heel/platform, and the manufacturer all makes a big difference. I can wear anything from a size 41/2 or 5 (in flats, sandals, some boots) to a 6. I just bought 3 news pairs of boots, and two are a size 6 and one is a 5-6. I used to wear 61/2 in heels pretty consistently, but either My feet have shrunk or the sizing has changed. You need to pay attention to the width of your foot also. So, unless you are very embarrassed, and you planned on trying to order online (how much are you willing to take a chance and have to continually return them or lose your money?), I would suggest you go the the shoe stores and try them on! Take a pair of knee highs! *Edited 3 times now for clarity and dyslexic typos!

Dear GoddessDustyGold, Ladies and Gentlemen; I have been told by several podiatrists/foot doctors--women's feet change many times during their lives. It has nothing to do with pregnancy--just a fact that women's feet change often during her life time and that is that. I have not been able to fit into my high school high heels and yet they are same size as I wear now. 5.5EW to 6EW (USA measure). I now have been wearing low heel boots and low heel shoes due to the arthritis. However, I have been wearing my mother's vintage high heels from the 1940's to 1960's, which are size 6W, sling back and open toed; as well as my own collection. I do have to agree with others who have posted--each manufacturer of shoes have their own pattern and dictates what size will work best. Some boots are too tight at size 7WW. I would say they would be better marked at size 6--definately not wide. Crocs have been rather good on the ole' feetie paws in size 6. The 3 inch wedge is really the most comfortable 3 inch heel, toeless wedge I've ever worn. I live in the CrocsRx (arch support) and enjoy the variety they offer. ( Should own stock-LOL) Just some thoughts. Respectfully submitted for consideration, Lady Hugs
