Work in the ER for a few years you will soon find out people die of vanilla sex too.  Now sometimes it is not with your boring wife of 25 years, rather with your sexy girlfriend of a few weeks in the back seat of her car in a parking lot.  Even with that interesting aspect it does not make the paper.  As was said scandal sells boring does not.

when people die during "vanilla" sex its usually due to something other than the sex which is just heightened during strenuous activity. incorperate aspyxiation, electricity and other extreme acts and its bound to have a much higher fatality rate due directly to the dangerous activities.

Yes people enjoy them, but theres no reson they should die from them...stupidity and the lack of willing to have patience and learn health and safety will cause adverse situations.

I work with electricity, at alot higher than household voltage, we have so many health and safety rules and precautions it makes people think twice before doing anything. Did you know most electricity related deaths happen on 240V and below supplies? people think ah its only a little amount of voltage and the negligence is what kills them. Yes it may be fun to give little shocks, but anything over an amp can kill you, and an amp isn't very much at all...

I may be new to bdsm but i know that if you play with electric and dunno what your doing its bound to go wrong...

I lost a Dominant friend a few years back because he wanted to switch and keep it on the down low. He met up with people he didn't know well, and did asphyxiation play that resulted in his death. It was a blow to our entire community here.
We always assume that someone experienced will make sure everything is safe. This guy had plenty of experience but died anyway.
To me, staying safe has to be a combined effort between top and bottom, NOT the responsibility of one or the other.
