yes...good idea...perhaps it should be stated below the name in the forum. It is already hard enough to see if some one in male or female (or both lol) when they have no picture.

ok, after googling my user IDs.. there are some gay men who share a couple of them.. google Greedytop and greedybottom. I think theyre both in San Diego.. *laughs*

as for the subject of why not mention your sexuallity? well...honestly it does matter, not in an exclusive way but in the way that people know how to offer advice...what works for men does not always work for women and what works for women does not always work for men...and this is a primarily hetro site, but there are quite a few bi women, and a number of lesbians and gay and bi men that post...and though you often get the gist of who their partners are when they post, sometimes i have typed out an entire essay only to learn that it was a pretty stupid response because it was catered to a hetro couple and they were not...if nothing more than for my pronoun usage...i don't know...i guess thats why looking at the profile of the poster, if you don't know them, is helpful...

Hmm, are you going to be at the munch on Saturday?

To get sort of back on topic, it is definitely a good idea to check profiles, though it doesn't always help. I have some bi tendencies, but I generally don't advertise them. The kind of guy I am at all attracted to is extremely rare. For most bi/gay males, there's no point in them wasting their time contacting me.

Gawd, we have heaps of gorgeous gay spunkolicious hotties in here. (dangnabbit and curses at them being gay!!)

Rarely does anyone mention their sexual orientation though, cuz on this side of CM, we just don't care who or what you is, as long as your wise or funny (or both, as many are!!).

Though as for the OP, quite often one can get a good idea on a poster's sexual orientation from the manner in which they write. It can be subtle at times and when you aren't sure, it's only a matter of browsing the profile to see how a poster identifies. For the most part, being non heterosexual isn't a deficit, it's how we conduct ourselves on the boards which makes a positive or negative impact with others.

Dear need2bused6, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I would like to welcome you to the Collarme forums. I see several of our wonderful Gay men have already responded already.

There is on the home page, a search engine. If you tick the right boxes as to what you are seeking; it will pop up individuals that match or closely match what you are looking for.

I would also invite your consideration, to look for Ohio Leather men based groups via a Google Search. I do know of a couple of Gay men who are most gracious and giving of their time.

I would also proffer for consideration, that you look into Leather conferences and or Master-slave conferences. MaST (A title which in short means Masters and slaves together) for your area. In addition, there is Mid-Atlantic Leather, which is held in January in Washington, DC.
This may be a pleasant way to meet like minded individuals. Another free site geared towards Gay men; is www.recon.com There, you can choose which fits your tastes. They have Master/slave, Rubber, Boot and different areas as to be more focused on the many practices within the Gay male world and their sexuality, e.g. Bears, cigar, muscle, etc.

There are also other avenues. In Washington, DC -- The Crucible is a public dungeon where they have an all male night. A good many Gay men go there for a wonderful time and an ample dungeon. SIR Robert Davis (International SIR 2004) held his "Taste of Kink" there a while back and it has been copied by others since. You and or other Gay men, may wish to look into the Eagle Clubs. We do have the DC Eagle in Washington, DC and the Baltimore Eagle in Baltimore, Maryland. I would think there might be a similiar venue in Ohio.

I am not sure if other states and or commonwealths, have groups like DC Boys of Discipline or Men of Discipline.
