Aye, when I shave. Actually, I tend to have a smooth face more often.

The reason I have such a wild bush on my face is because of a promise I made. Back in November, when my girl was delayed from coming up yet again, we talked about the things we would want to do together when she arrived. No, not that sort of thing [well, certainly not entirely]...things like walking with her through the park downtown; keeping up our 'music nights' together; snuggling up on the couch while watching a movie. One thing she'd commented on was that she always enjoyed shaving a man's face as a nurse - giving a man a 'dignified' look, and seeing how happy they were to be tended to.

So, I made her a promise. I said I wouldn't shave myself; that I'd keep the fur on my face until she came up and shaved it off for me [preferably on our first night together]. Three months later, I look like a wildman or a hippie [both terms are used at work], but since I never cared about my appearance all that much, the comments don't bother me. All I care about in this case is keeping my word to my girl.

i have also been told i look like claire danes...eh? cate blanchett from when she was galadriel.. really???wasnt she blonde then i havent been blonde since i was a teen??? julianne moore...eh she's 10 years older than me damnit!!!

I have thick eyebrows and high cheekbones, so I get anyone from Brooke Shields to Geena Davis. Anyone with that combo, really.

Depending on which period of my life we're talking about; I've run the whole gamut of celebs people say I resemble:

When I show people pictures of me from the 80s, I get compared to young Bowie or Kieffer Sutherland (- I don't see it. -)
While I was in the military, I got compared to The Undertaker a few times after coming in from a week or more in the field. (- Again, don't see it -)
When I shaved my head and kept the goatee, I'd been compared to the lead singer for Assemblage23 and also been mistaken for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
Since I started wearing 'chops and chin goatee, people compare me to Ron Perlman's portrayal of Hellboy. (- THAT I can see. Funny thing is that's what Voltaire calls me. Guess it could be worse. He calls my ex-roomie Wardrobe Malfunction. -)
