On behalf of Mae Puppy (Miss Marie) and myself (scamp puppy / spacey), I would like to officially announce and humbly submit to the greater puppy play community our entry to the Pup Out Pride Flag Contest, the Puppy Play Pride Symbol. We created this symbol because we wanted to find a better way to show our pride for the puppy play community, to celebrate puppies, and to celebrate the owner-puppy relationship. We feel this symbol speaks to us in all of these important ways and we hope that it will speak to you too.

The Puppy Play Pride Symbol is intended to be pansexual and available for all puppies and trainers to use at they wish. Therefor we have released it to the public domain.

See the Puppy Play Pride Symbol here: http://PuppyPlayPride.com

A Little Bit about Symbolism:
The outer part of the symbol forms an oblong ring that recalls a dog collar. The collar is black and gray like the color of the hanky code flags for SM and bondage. The circular aspect of the color is meant to represent the circle of the puppy play community that binds us together.

Inside is a white dog bone. The bone, of course, represents the unique nature of puppy play. It's white to symbolize the innocence and purity of the puppy head space.

Finally at the bottom of the symbol is a red heart that dangles from the collar like a dog tag. The heart represents the love and bond between puppies and their trainers. The heart is at an angle to recall the heart from the BDSM Pride Flag and what we have learned from that community.

More:
So far, we have submit our pride symbol to the Pride Flag contest on PupOut (http://pupout.com/news.html). They will be accepting entries through March 15th. We look forward to seeing the other ways that pups and trainers will symbolize their pride.

We have also created a simple web site hosting a free ark kit of this design at: http://PuppyPlayPride.com

We are releasing this symbol into the public domain for everyone to use in a wide variety of ways. The free art kit has the Puppy Play Pride symbol rendered in multiple formats. You can use it to include the Puppy Play Pride Symbol on your web site, maybe make an LJ Icon, create pride pins, patches, flags, or anything you can come up with. We hope you'll use it to share your pride.

Finally, if this symbol of pride in our common interest appeals to you, we ask you to share it with others. It no longer belongs to us but to everyone on the puppy play community. Use it and enjoy.

We want your feedback and will do our best to answer your questions. You can write to us:
(Please direct comments or questions of a technical nature to scamp)

With pride,
Mae Puppy (Miss Marie) and scamp (spacey)
