Hmm. Just to toss in a different perspective: I don't consider time to be a ruling factor. I more or less expect truth from day one, and ferret lies out as need be. The idea of living in a veil of caution that can [not will, but might] creep to the level of paranoia does not settle well with me. I do have requirements. Those who can meet them are the ones I follow up on. There isn't many I've met who can, as I'm not an easy person to deal with. When I am comfortable and happy, I will move forward, regardless of the amount of time that's followed. Quality of actions and thought, not quantity of days, are my personal preference. I can understand the OP's viewpoint. Seen it. Done it [and better for the hard lesson]. It wasn't for any reason other than I was both young and stupid - or socially naive, if you like. The key there is that I learned something from it, eventually. Ultimately, yes, I think with my heart in matters of love, not my head - and I personally do not want any form of commitment without love. Tried that. Hated it.

Quick question before I read and respond to the 3 pages already written: Do you differentiate between choosing someone else and just not choosing a certain person? In a way i want to stand this one up on its ear,and in another way i don't and there is one huge reason why i don't.My current situation needs to be recitified and until it becomes recitified,i am no good to anyone.My thing is what if you realize after speaking with someone for awhile(and i don't mean just two ir three weeks)but instead for about three months or so.Ans it suddenly dawns on you this is the one without question.But there are circumstances that prevent the decision from going any further.What do you do then?Do you exhibit an inordinate amount of patience ot do you just fling up your arms and say to hell with it and move on to another you may think is right but really isn't??You move on to the next not because of need but because of want and the want is so strong that in fact it can be argued reasonably that it now has become the very thing you don't want...a need.
