It seems many companies manufactor latex vac beds. Online, they all look and sound the same to Me. I was wondering if anyone here has purchased a vac bed. If so, from where? Are you satisfied with it? Is it sturdy enough or would you recommend a thicker rubber? Please share your experience. I am dying to get one.

Master and I have one. I believe He purchased it from Cocoon about seven years ago. They're great fun for those who don't suffer from claustrophobia, but hell for those who do. They're plenty sturdy enough, provided the latex is reasonably new and in good condition, and we usually use talcum powder inside to keep people from sticking to it when trying to get in or out.

One bad point is that it requires a vacuum, which means a great deal of noise unless you've got a silent vacuum (I've yet to find one). Another bad point is that, after six or seven years, the latex tends to wear out, dry out, and develop splits and cracks, and then you have to buy a new one. The good thing is, they're not the most astronomically priced toys you could buy.

If you really like latex and rubber, you might also want to check out an inflatable sleep sack. They come in several sizes (also at Cocoon, I believe), have multiple air chambers and completely enclose the person, except for the face.

It's interesting. Rather cool, temperature-wise. Kind of like putting on a wetsuit, only not as snug, and it's all over. You can still move, but the latex moves with you, so you never break contact with it.

It's hard to really do the sensation justice via the written word. How does one describe being shrink-wrapped?

I bought one at MRS leathers here in san fran but he does have a web site as for durabililty I have had mine for about 8 years and have only had to replace the outer liner once sub with heals not watching what she was doing very bad. if u get a good model u can just replace the outer latex and keep the inner lining the vaccum holes and housing. as for the feel it is like a cross between a sense dep camber and a live wire coming across you when the dom or subs are rubbing and teasing you from the out side hope this helps

MMM - Vacbeds. A local Dominant and personal friend of mine makes vacbeds and I can tell you from experience they are absolutely wonderful! If you're still looking I'd be happy to put you in touch with him. Not sure of his prices but I do know the quality and durability is there, I believe he has different colors of latex you can choose from as well.

The one I spoke about disassembles and fits into a sack I would say about the size of one of those collapsible camp chairs you find nowadays.

hi sinstress
i have used a vacbed at a bdsm camp for the last 3 years that they have and i loved it
thier is 2 type and many places make them
1 is with a breathing tube that you see most places
2 is one that the head sticks out of the vacbed
and some even have what some call a glory hole
and only a few people that make them air airtight so you dont need the vac running all the time
Max Cita is one that makes a air tight one i have seen his and talkes to a few that has his vacbed once inside and the air vac out it stays that way for over 4 hours without the noisy vaccum running
just suck out the air and turn off the vac and have fun for hours if you want
also for safty you have to be careful on how thick the latex is and how strong the vac is MaxCita has told me no more then .018 thick for the top sheet of latex and also he makes it now the latex is bigger then the frame a few inchs so it seals around the body better
MaxCita vacbeds are a little more but the airtight zippers is why they are more costly
i know this throw a few more choice into the pot

I went to http://www.maxcita.com and am now in love. There vac beds are about twice the average rate. Is it really worth it for the silence? I will have to save up for this one.

is it worth 5the money ? that is up to you but may i say one thing . Silence is golden!! i think . And if your sub likes a vacbed alot like i do at times not running the vac all the time is so nice i love being in a vacbed for over 2 hours at a time all i can say can you stand hearing the vac going that long
also another thing to think about if you get the one that uses a breathing tube the head id enclosed the person inside may need to use ear plugs some cannt take the vuc on the eardrums
also breathing thru a mouth tube drys out the mouth
i like useing a hard mask type that EMT's use for CPR
that way you breath normal thru your nose and can stay in longer
now the one with the head out those are normaly fit people that have the same size neck if it was made for someone with a smaller neck then its too tight on the bigger neck people and they will choke while in it
some nice advanage about the head out is the person can be on thier belly or side
one other thing about MaxCita's vacbed is it works great without the frame for a vacsack so the sub can even seat in a chair very easy
so thier is a few more things to think about and if you have any ? about MaxCita's stuff just email him it may take some time for him to reply this time of year but he will get back with you as soon as he can i meet Max and his wife at a BDSM camp that he and i go to the end of May now you have a few more things to think about
