I clearly state i am a lesbian on my profile. However, i get lots of email from Doms trying to get me to serve them, including sexually. This happens on alt.com and bondage.com too, so isn't unique to collarme.com. In addition, it happens to all of the women i have ever talked to, despite trying notices to men not to email, notices that a person does not serve men, etc. What causes the phenomonine? Do these guys think they are going to 'turn' a lesbian into someone who is bisexual (NOT!) or what?

lamb, it is not just lesbians who receive unwanted contacts. As a Domme, I receive emails from Doms as well. Maybe it is like junk mail? Just see that you are female and send out a query. You have a wonderful tool provided to you by Colarme, it is the block button. Just click it and enjoy your search for what you need. Myself I enjoy the opportunity to come back with a quip. You could be right about these males, they do think they have that "something special" that would make a female want to be with them. I have experienced this phenomina in real life D/s events as well. Then that is their problem.
I think you will find that most of the Doms on this site are caring and respectful of your (or anyones) choice as to sexual orientation. Not much can be done except enjoy the site, respond to the ones you want and delete the rest. Sundew

Lambdakennels I am sorry you are getting these unwanted advances but I accual know of a lesbain slave serveing a Gay Male Master What they have Master and slave and nothing sexual. I try not to contact those who are seeking something different but I must admit I misread something in some one profile. This happens with the kind of a learning diability I have. I hope things will work out better with the right kind of contacts you seek. ScorpioMaster

Most "Doms" don't read. Not just profiles, but in general. *smile*

If you don't like the attention, block them. I get requests from guys, gals, couples and sometimes even family pets for all sorts of things I am not into. They don't read my profile, and send me something I am not interested in. It's one of the costs of wookin' pa nub online.

It should be surprising the amount of people who don't read a profile before sending a message. I clearly state I'm not into cyber sex or meeting up for casual sex. The majority of responses I get are from people who want those two things.

They're easy enough to delete and ignore, but it would be nice if people could read all of a profile and then make sure they understand it, before they reply.

In the old (pre commercial explosion of the WWW) days of D/s on the 'net, we used to call these kinds of folks HNG (horney net geeks). Their mentality is roughly the same as the 1 year old unaltered male dog that will hump the leg of just about anything that moves (and even some things that don't). Their mail to you doesn't have anything to do with you. They are engaging in "trolling", hoping that the law of big numbers will catch up with them, and the 1,000th woman that they proposition will say "OK". Short of a sex change, there isn't much you can do but block them.

We all get it. I don't get many men writing to me but even on profiles which spell out quite loudly that I'm looking for a slim, intelligent woman preferably for full-time relationship I get fat idiotic lesbians in foreign countries (yes, all of this in plural) writing to me.

As others have said, reading a profile helps. It's why I (almost) never write to someone without a profile and why I pay attention to anyone whose letter to me talks about something in my profile - at least I know they looked at it!

Like walking down the street, most potential contacts are no good.

As an aside, I would urge everyone who gets a letter of more than a few sentences, written to them, rather than just a big form-letter, to take time to reply, even if it is just "thanks but no thanks" because unless we all do, we just teach people to use that junk-mail/scatter-gun approach. It's very frustrating to spend maybe 20 minutes reading up on a comprehensive profile and writing to someone only to have no answer whatever come back.

no one is trying to convert you into a heterosexual. Problem is...not many men actually read the profile. Most men seem to see the picture...then go to height / weight...see submissive...send email....anxiously await reply... forget who it is they are getting a reply from as they sent the same email to over 50 people...check profile...etc etc ad nausium.

Such is the mating habits of the HNG.

As stated above... most don't read.. they see a picture, or maybe only the location and a gender and decide that your possibly the one for them..... they are trying the shotgun approach to getting laid. It is doubtful that any of those that engage in this behavior have any real interest in you or your preferences. I get these emails from time to time, and often get propositioned in the chat room - LONG before they bother to discern my gender and/or orientation - which can be quite funny when they figure it out. Don't ask me why, but I don't often feel the need to provide that information and tend to lead them on a bit.

I've gotten at least a dozen messages here in the last year from Doms who seem to think I'm a submissive female. You would think the picture in my profile would disabuse them of that notion!

I figure they were just a little quick with the mouse clicks while sening out their spammed messages to every female within 3 states of where they live.

There is a common idea among many heterosexual males that a woman is a lesbian because she has not met the right man yet.

Of course, there is also a common idea among many heterosexual males that they themselves are the Man who could make this woman switch teams.

Then you have a second wave feminist (whose name I forgot how to spell, Simone something) stating that "A woman without a man is like a fish without a bicycle."

I dont know what it all means, really, but there you go.

Oddly enough, I get this same thing, only with "masters." That is, many many men (I have yet to have a woman do it) seem to think that I am only with my Partner out of expediencey and they are the True Master (tm) I have been craving.

I don't get it.

I have seen many do that. The only thing I can figure is that they, because of their own insecurities, can't face the fact that they are NOT the perfect Dom/Master/Whatever. Their egos wont let them believe that they might be just another person on the face of the planet earth – that they, because they have found their inner Dominant, must beyond any shadow of a doubt be THE dominant for whatever victim they have focused on. In my limited experience, those of this kind suffer from an over inflated sense of entitlement.

Where I come from, you only get what you earn – no one owes you anything.

rest assured if you get an email from me it will not be to turn you or make you my sex slave. I mean whats the point for a guy to make a slave from a lesbian. no fun in that. WE're not all bad. but to 99% of guys out there in their defense watching 2 lesbians having sex is a dream most men have and it is HOT.

I have a theory, that maybe they are thinking of the known male fantasy of two women together. Who knows. And yet I agree with those who have said they don't read. That is what the profile is for, so one can see if they are compatable. When I was looking, I never replied to a lesbians. I might admire her look, but what's the sense if you are looking for the "right" submissive. So ultimately it is because the are a HNG and they should most likely be castorated to tame them.... lol

and even removing their balls ( castrated ) probably would not work either - unless you can determine who will be an HNG before puberty hits and castrate them before then

only very rarely will a leopard change its spots, so yes I do think they would still find a way to act like an HNG - and loved the pun BTW - reminded me of an old joke;

A man goes into a drugstore and asks the guy behind the counter if there is any way to disguise the flavor of castor oil. Guy says 'yeah, and while i go get it let me give you a chocolate malt, my treat" "okay" man says. guy mixes up a chocolate malt, hands to man, walks away. man drinks malt, guy comes back and asks how the malt was. man replies 'delicious' guy says "I put the castor oil in it for you" man shrieks "oh no, I was asking cause my wife needs to take some" and runs out the door[:D]
