This is a little bit off topic, but want to throw it out there any way. I think this may be the intent of the OP.

Let me try to convey this properly. First, thank you. Second, fuck you.

Confused? Me to. Let me see if I can translate.

I have seen posts that some have dropped their two cents in by adding a few thoughts of thier own and providing some links to "more worn" threads, sometimes out of their own OP threads lists, sometimes Others. These that take the time to explain how the links are related to the thread, are HUGELY helpfull, esp. when they actually DO pertain to the thread. LOL. There are others links that get posted that I can for the life of me, not figure out why ANY one would go to, let alone recomend...

Now to clarify, there are a lot of OP's that specifically request input and or links, these threads are obviously omitted from inclusion. Now I am still unsure of what I mean to express here, except; For those of you who take the time to link with thought and consideration to the readers as well the the OP, (or others that get comments directed at them in Other Peoples Original Posts) I, and the rest of us, thank you. To those who do it because you are too fucking lazy to have an original thought, get bent.

And I mean this in the kindest most sincere way I could come up with to express, within the guidlines of the OP's intent.

OP. Great idea, wonder how long it'll work...

What you are describing xBlushesx is "plagiarism". And should be collectivley called out when it occurs. Despicable. Who cares about the copyright law or TOS? But stealing words and paragraphs, with out attributing them is just lame. Often it is done to avoid having to reveal that the "facts" come from a radical site (the Neo Nazis like to do that) or just a blatantly biased source (Ie Rush limbaughs web page).

Quotes should not be longer than needed, sometimes it takes a long quote to make the point, but not usually.

I think you and I are talking at cross purposes. What I am referring to is the policy at b.com of providing attribution when quoting something from a website. For instance, if I get a paragraph and some stats from BusinessWeek, I have to provide a klink to that particular BusinessWeek article. That way there is no copyright violation. Peace
