I'd be another to urge you to take up making some of your own candles if you want to cut the cost.  It's a non-time-intense hobby, cheaper than most retail, and you can make whatever you want... colors, sizes, burning temps, burning lengths, whatever.

Can definitely appreciate wanting the convenience of buying pre-made candles, and I still do from time to time, but making your own is definitely worth giving a try.

Here's a link I found some time ago for someone who wanted solid black candles. These folks don't specify what the material is, which says to me that they're making paraffin candles—the preferred material for wax play (lowest melting point).

Apart from that, they offer unscented candles and no lead wicks and made in USA. I've already bookmarked them for my own use; solid pillars of specified colors are often hard to find.

One candle that I have found are Shabbat candles.  They contain no additives (by Kosher law) they burn very well.  If you live somewhere that has a large population of Jews they can be usually found in the grocery stores  that cater to them.

I came across your post and wanted to let you know that I run a soy candle business out of my home.  I make all-natural, non-toxic soy candles and they can come scented or non-scented too.  You can also choose to have them colored or not.  If you are interested please send me an email.

Party lite candles are the way to go, absoluately for the money they last, smell great. And you could have a party and the more you sell the more free stuff you get. i had a party lite party a few years back and sold so many items that i recieved like 300.00 in freebies.....   Or just a suggestion here you could combine the partylite party with a sex toy party and double your money.... And if i am not wrong Party lite candle items like the holders or stands something of that nature holds it's value and may be worth some money down the road kind of like longenburger baskets.  Just a thought........         Be well.

I just used some candles from TenderDom, AKA the Candleman... he hand makes them all, the drip candles are awesome, they burn very quickly so you don't have to stand around waiting for the drip...drip...drip...

He has the ones in the jars as well, that melt quickly for pours... all kinds of colors, scented or non.. he even has a leather scented candle... haha. There's phallic type candles... with a wick at both ends in case you want to ah... stick it somewhere, then light the back end of it... haha.

I don't know where you can purchase them from and I've been looking for the better part of 15 years.  For wax play you really should play with paraffin candles. 
Soy candles are the next hottest burning...and they can burn if you're not careful.

So, someone who made a utility size paraffin candle with colors...well I'd be a customer.  I haven't found many over the years and those I have found want a fortune to the point you start saying you'll craft your own.  Then I never seem to have the time to do so.

I read the topic wrong...I though we were talking about bulk CANDY.  I was really excited there for a minute......sour patch kids, chocolate covered raisins, etc, etc.
