dollparts85 -> Anyone have experience with enemas? (3/3/2008 12:26:59 AM)

I know enemas are popular in bdsm...I bought an enema kit...the kind with sodium phosphate...is that like really strong? How long will the effects last? Does it cause bloating?

Based on the tone of this post ("I know enemas are popular in BDSM," which suggests something other than a kink-related desire to experience this), and your posts in the off-topic forum, I am concerned that this might be an attempt at self-treatment of some nature, or compulsive behaviour. I certainly wouldn't recommend enemas in this capacity, especially if you have a history of eating disorders.

My apologies if this is a legitimate, scene-related question. I'd just hate to see damaging behaviours inadvertently enabled.

Moll
good call!

Doll,
call your doctor and ask him.
Better yet, call the treatment center you said you were checking into, and  ask them if they recommend enemas or laxatives for you.

lovely[8|]

anyone who has read any one of your posts knows that this is not bdsm related, therefore it is against tos (see, I learned something!) and should be moved to health and safety.

I'm starting to agree with others that this is all about attention. You could go to one of those anorexia loving sites and get all the bad advice you can use, but you choose to come here and say 'look at me'...

I've had many Doms that I talk with express interest in the use of enemas...I thought it was a pretty common fetish?

CalifChick -> RE: Anyone have experience with enemas? (3/3/2008 9:58:22 AM)

Well yes, it is a fetish for some people. But it would be unwise for someone like you, with eating disorders, to engage in this fetish.

why?

colouredin -> RE: Anyone have experience with enemas? (3/3/2008 1:31:33 PM)

Without being rude, but if you were going to go do this to yourself then you would do it without asking on here, people here can see that it isnt good for you (you are using it as a way to aid an eating disorder thats unhealthy because eating disorders are unhealthy) if you want to talk to someone then ask them this is just silly. If its a cry for help ASK for help.

dollparts85 -> RE: Anyone have experience with enemas? (3/3/2008 1:38:14 PM)

I just wanted to know the side effects and stuff...how strong it is and how long the effects last. From someone who has used it.

angelikaJ -> RE: Anyone have experience with enemas? (3/3/2008 3:24:32 PM)

The chemicals in the type of enema you chose are a laxative.
Laxitives are something you are supposed to stay away from...and are not really recommended for play.

For a quick rinse something like this is recommended:

enema's are only as safe as the person using them is smart...

those with medical fetishes generally prefer to give the enema, not watch it on web cam like those who are into scat may do...

those with eating disorders  should always consult with a doctor before taking any laxative...

those that have to ask why are too stupid to have a loaded enema in their hand in the first place![:'(]

BlueEyedSubinDE -> RE: Anyone have experience with enemas? (3/3/2008 4:30:54 PM)

When I was in my late teens to early twenties I suffered from Bulimia.  I was totally dependant/addicted to laxatives.  "Things" wouldn't work unless I took laxatives.  They are for me what a drink is to an alcoholic, even now I can't even have them in the house.  (and no, I won't say what I took, how many I took or how often, am not "helping" someone)

A few years back I was collared to a man who knew my past, but loved giving enemas.  I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, yeah I was wrong.  It took me a long time to get things under control and back to being healthy.  At least for me a laxative is a laxative is a laxative, no matter how it's given, who gives it or what form it is in.

If you have an eating disorder, it's not the physical act that is the problem, it is the mental that is the bigger problem.  I'm purging out the evil food.  If that makes sense.  It doesn't matter how the laxative is given, the effect is still the same.
