Robert Plant has said no to an offer of 100 million pounds -- about $200 million U.S. -- for Led Zeppelin to tour, saying he prefers to leave the band's November reunion in London as the final word on its legacy, according to England's Sunday Mirror.

Sources tell TMZ the Van Halen tour has just been canceled!

We're told arrangements are being made right now to cancel hotel stays for the tour -- which was scheduled to continue through April 19th. Sources tell us the reason for the cancellation is Eddie -- that he is having "issues."

The last three shows had already been canceled. There have been reports that Eddie was out of it during concerts -- and video of recent performances in which his guitar playing was atrocious.

Reps could not be reached for comment.

Despite reports to the contrary, sources with Van Halen tell Billboard the band's tour is not being canceled, though tonight's (March 3) scheduled show at the American Airlines Center in Dallas has been postponed and rescheduled for April 24.

Turning down 200 million for the sake of keeping a legacy more perfectly in tact?  I'm not one of their fans, but that's really committed to their position!  In one respect, it's a shame for the fans.  In another, it's really hard to feel like they're sell outs about anything after hearing that.  :P

'sides, hey.  Money in the music business will probably go somewhere.  May be a good chance for a new band!

200 million is about the price of each ticket if they did tour.  [:'(]

The chances of those new bands even remotely coming close to Zeppelin is so remote..... well, it's so remote, I can't even think of anything smart-assed to say. [:)]

Good rock news, though, Heaven and Hell, the reformed band of what was once Black Sabbath are going to start work on a new album.

Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler, with Vinnie Appice on drums, and Ronnie James Dio doing vocals. Good stuff! Here they are doing "Neon Knights": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS8n7oYNbM0
