Well didnt I have some fun last night!? A member from here (not the forums, but the other side) whom I met last year (and who turned out to be one of my friends from middle school!), finally brought his single tail over for me to play with - only a 4' one, but a real deal one! We've played a half dozen times, and each time he's "forgotten" to bring it - which is a bit odd, considering he finds being on the receiving end "heaven" in his profile. Anyway, after a suitable warm up (arent I kind?) I set to work and didnt miss once, didnt wrap it round him, didnt draw blood - just lots of gasps and whimpers! When I thought he had had enough, he asked if I would do his back too - which I was a bit concerned about but after some quick thinking went ahead with, with him holding his folded jeans over the more sensitive areas at his waist and my linen bag (normally the repository for various items) over his head ("Guantanmo chic" as I referred to it, perhaps in poor taste) to protect his ears and eyes from any stray shots. And didnt he dance! Again I didnt miss - apart from hitting the back of his arm once (silly boy shouldnt have had it there), and soon there were welts all over his shoulder area. Then I alternated areas - hitting the back caused another target to present itself as he buckled forward, hitting which caused the back to come back in range..... and just for fun, occasionally I'd miss deliberately - letting it crack near him or just over his head. A good time was had by both of us - though it still escapes me as to how anyone could find that sort of pain enjoyable, it is indeed a lucky coincidence of human nature that some like to give and some like to receive! And then he inadvertently told me why he'd not brought it over before - apparently he's had two sessions now with self confessed experienced wielders of single tails; both of whom managed to make every mistake in the book, leading to a less than enjoyable experience. What can I say? I'm a natural LOL! E

Wow! I'm impressed Lady E that you have that kind of ability with a single tail. I'm assuming you've had lot's of practice with one as what you describe is a level of skill one doesn't achieve without it. I'll also add, that you're both missing out by not wrapping him. The feel of a quality single tail wrapping around my torso can be rather sensuous. If done with the right technique & timing, with wrapping they can also be used to pull at the target's body. I've also had the tail repeatedly land on my nipples (ouch!) when being wrapped. [;)] A 4 foot long single tail is a good length for someone to start with and be able to control. The longer one gets, the more difficult it becomes to use with any accuracy for what you described. They also take a lot more room for clearance around you to use. Unless you plan to wrap him, I really don't think you need to go longer as wrapping is when I've noticed the greatest difference between a longer and shorter singletail. I've also not played with someone who has the ability to try and strike the tip directly on my skin. I'm not certain I'd like that very much either, but if slowly worked up to it, who knows? [&:] My experience has been limited to bottoming for dommes who the owner of the local dungeon has on occasion drafted me into "voluntering" to help him while he mentored them. Since he's a good friend of mine and I trust him to make certain I'm safe, I've always agreed. He's also a master with a singletail who knows how to safely teach a skill he knows very well. There once was a very quick learner who greatly surprised me by how quickly she learned to wrap me and was soon repeatedly finding my nipples. LOL! But none have learned as quickly as what you describe. BTW, if you can bind his hands and suspend them from something above, he can then lean his head forward and use his arms to protect his ears. The sound of a single tail cracking next to one's ear can be quite startling and is well known for it's psychological effects on the bottom. My friend would often crack his beside me while his student was practicing wrapping me. [:D] - pixel

Oh gosh now I am REALLY regretting I didn't buy that 4' singletail I saw on Sunday when I went adult shopping with a subby girlfriend from here! I had a few cracks of it in the shop and was pleasantly surprised that I did manage to get it to crack ... however, also caught My arm with the backlash once ... ouch LOL! Maybe I'll have to persuade Master to go and take a look next time We are in town ... it wasn't that expensive ... [;)] Maam Jay aka violet[A]

Had it not been for my friend, it would have taken a great deal of trust to ever go there with a Mistress I was serving. Funny how I went there first with a woman who was practically a stranger to me. LOL! Had it not been for my friend, that is sooo opposite of what I'd typically do! I did indeed enjoy the sensation of being wrapped by a good quality singletail. The nylon training singletails do not have that same kind of pleasant feel. [:'(] I should add, that it helped a great deal being flogged as a warm up prior to the singletail being used on me. [8D] The fast learner left marks, the last of which disappeared after about 4 days. In bottoming, I learned that a single tail can be used to apply as much or as little sensation as the top wishes. Congrats, LadyE. It sounds like you had quite a bit of fun. It's just a thought for you, but have you considered getting a second? I'm a huge fan of matched pairs of anything, and you'd be amazed at the response when wielding two.

It's cool to learn new toys. The other cool thing is when you want to learn something new and the bottom you want to practice on is teaching you...okay I think I have it...now hold still! Other than that...I suggest you go out and buy the video "5 minutes to singletails" ...call it a plug for my Daddy...or myself...whatever it's a good teaching tool. The other thing is that wrapping is not a bad thing if you decide that's what you want to do. It's only a mistake if you didn't mean to do it. Drawing blood is a common occurance when striking rather than dragging the cracker over someone's skin. Marks aint bad either...so long as you want them. Learning to use two at once is fun there's a couple of different ways to do that...and the more the better!. If you're looking for a good quality whip that's inexpensive try thewhipchick.com in a little bit. She's currently revamping her site but it will relaunch soon. If you just can't wait try contacting No Limits Leather. Nylon whips are easy to clean and lighter so that you can ue them without wearing yourself out. If it's the same gal I'm thinking of, she had a both here at SELF last year and I had a thorough blast playing with some of the toys she had. Definitely items I would recommend.
