Status: offline 		hmmm we have found the opposite to be true,my husband and myself are Dom/Domme with 23/25 yrs respectively in the lifestyle, I am 41 and he is 43,we seem to be bombarded by younger subs/slaves.looking for guidance,it seems thats a thing of the past,treasuring your sub/slave also has seemed to become non exsistent.The relationship peice looks to be missing in many,these days.We have lived 24/7 rt for many years now,chat is great,but nothing can compare to the look on a subs face and in her eyes when she knows she has truly pleased you,and is looking up at you with love and contentment in her eyes.Anyway..wishing u luck on your journeyshere in cm and in life..Ladytosirdragon

Motown is great when they were in Detroit after they moved to LA their format changed.  Speaking of martha she is now on the city council for detroit.  If you want to see a great movie go rent "standing in the shadows of motown.  It's the hollywood version of motown.  So basically all they got right was the music and the funk brothers are real However there all long since dead.  Growing up in the hayday I got to listen to them around town in the glory days.

Yea, "Standing in the shadows" is a great movie with a great soundtrack. Not all of the funk brothers are in the ground, though... and their music and influence will live on forever.

Btw, SailingBum, I think I may have "met" you once... wasn't that you pissing over the rail in the Winward passage ? To leeward, of course.

The story I got from a number of ppl that played with motown who I still go listen to at bakers a local jazz joint.  Dezie is one of the guys names who get royalties from the temptations hit "My girl" as the sax player.  He is like 80 or something.  Informed me that 4 guys were the "real" funk  brothers. Im trying to remember their names earl van dyke piano i think,  james jamerison  bass papisita jones drums I think thats correct.  They have been planted for a long ass time. 

Ive heard it from a couple of other ppl as well.  Most of the guys in the flick were to young to be a funk bro.  Yanno how hollywood always "fits the truth"  to suit their needs.  Ya Im a motown junkie

Status: offline 		Well guys as an old DJ myself i love funk and i lived and DJ through the classic mirror ball days. i find that the youth is listening and loves retro sounds of the past. Motown has left its mark in soul music and gave its own rhythm to all of us to enjoy. i still remember the days where the rockers hated the disco freaks, and if any male would listen to disco he was classified as "gay"
