Why is it that whenever i shave near the labia i tend to get extremely ticklish and can't stop laughing? i usually have to stop a few times to recompose myself just so i can finish. i can't seem to figure this out, not that i'm complaining, at least until i nick myself  [:)]

Good to know, now i know to somehow contain my laughter so i don't nick myself. Thanks for the heads up lol

I would seriously consider waxing! You may giggle, but you WONT cut yourself. Lasts heaps longer than shaving and is better for your skin. I'd tell your waxer you are ticklish and will giggle so she doesnt think you are weird! :P

Something about that ripping sound of the wax coming off just makes me cringe, one of the far and inbetween things that will. [sm=ugh.gif]

It really isnt as painful as you think, make sure that you exfoliate before hand and havent got sun burn or anything

Thank you colouredin, i will look into it possibly later this week.

One of the reasons I prefer waxing.  If the ripping sounds get to you, you can always try taking headphones along (just a thought).

angelicsubbie -> RE: Shaving and laughing? (4/6/2008 3:23:12 PM)

Any hints for aftercare?  I have really sensitive skin, and have only waxed a few times, but get lots of big red bumps, the first time I was really worried that something was wron gwith me.  Any advice on a specific product to put on or anything?

Ahh, you're making me cringe........if you shave, keep your finger over your clit to protect it!!!!!!!!!!

Ahhhhhhh *crosses legs!*  :)

Sorry, I'm now trying to imagine how you sunburn your labia [:D]

My mother has always recommended diluted witch hazel placed in a fine mister (an empy plastic perfume bottle with a pump sprayer, not one that has ever had chemicals in it, works splendidly.) You can get them at your local walmart and whatnot. You can find them in glass and other materials online (link: http://www.specialtybottle.com/?gclid=CObu1cjAyJICFUU2FQod3yFUcA ) I have a nice glass old fashioned one perfume mister with a round air pump thing that I always keep diluted witch hazel in.

Of course you should make sure you don't have any reactions to witch hazel on undamaged areas of the body first. And of course, I'm not a doctor yadda yadda yadda. But it works for me. Witch Hazel works because its a natural astringent and its quite good for other things (here's a wikipedia link on "Astringent" for more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Astringent) Applying it to legs after shaving also helps me avoid red bumps there too, fyi. However if I am not using it on my vagina or other very sensitive areas I do not dilute it, I just use it at whatever dilution, if any, its sold at in the store.

Just a curious question from a male that doesn't know any better ,how long does a good wax job last....

girlygurl -> RE: Shaving and laughing? (4/7/2008 3:00:49 AM)

When I shave it doesn't tickle, but it arouses me ohhhh so much [:D] I'm not sure if it's the stimulation of my razor that does it or knowing I'm shaving for my Sir.... probably a little of both.

I thought I was the only person that has ever happend to.  Everytime I feel the razor go over those parts I bust out laughing.

KCherry -> RE: Shaving and laughing? (4/7/2008 8:05:49 PM)

A good wax job can last up to 3 weeks depending on the person

tnkgrrl -> RE: Shaving and laughing? (4/8/2008 6:59:47 AM)

um, am i the only one who thinks getting waxed is a turn on? i try to do it all in one day, just so it last longer. legs, pubes, eyebrows.

KCherry -> RE: Shaving and laughing? (4/8/2008 8:17:15 AM)

I took a nice 6 weeks of nothing but waxing when I was in cosmetology school, that was fun.
