I really don't want people to think that I am bragging. (Okay, not much...) I get so frustrated with hearing over and over how so many people are having so much trouble finding happiness in this lifestyle. I really just wanted to put it out there that it can happen.

It never happened to me and the key was to get to know the person first very well. (Someone trademark that line.)

See, i really disagree...but i am glad it is working for you. For me, i have the exact opposite approach. I do not consider online communication to be getting to know a person...i think it is more miscommunication than anything...so i immediately want to speak on the phone...that gets rid of more than 75% of the fakes right away! Some, it is clear right away and that is the end of it. Others...once we speak some, not tons, maybe a conversation or two, but long ones and meaningful ones...i am ready to meet. That scares off another 15% or so and the rest...well, they show up. That does not mean they are really wanting what they said they were wanting, but i havn't had a problem with them not showing up and they always were who they had presented, in regards to pix, age, etc.

To the OP...CONGRATS!

In regards to stating that you are happy being bragging...Well then i am constantly bragging because my world ROCKS. What i have noticed though, is that some people just cannot believe it. They are so miserable that they assume that if you are saying you are that happy you much be lying. What's with that?

Also, sometimes i am made to feel as though i will be making someone else sad if i talk about how happy i am...not by that person, but by someone near them...this is so silly...as evidenced by this very post...people do not get sad when they hear that others are happy! They LIKE to hear it, and maybe it even helps them feel a bit better, or regain some hope. If it does make them sad, they are sitting in a pool of self-fullfilling prophecy and you better run before they try to pull you in!

So all you happy people out there...shout it out!

Your post made me smile, and it was fun to read.  As a fellow happy person, it's nice to be in such good company.

Cheers.

Congratulations!

You're not alone, either.  There's a forum full of success stories, just above this one.  :)
