The dental stuff is merely 20% benzocaine in a gel or spray. Just as it numbs your throat, it could have an effect on other parts that come in contact with it. Kinda like why alot of people avoid Anal-eaze... it not only numbs the "receiver", it has an effect on the "giver." Cali

These are the steps I’d recommend: 1. Start by getting comfortable with something in the far back of the mouth. Practice with a popsicle or dildo, learning to avoid teeth and flatten tongue. Work on changing the gag reflex. Kind of like with contacts: at first everyone flinches at a finger to the eye but do it enough and the reflex relaxes to accommodate. She could try simply touching the tonsils for progressively longer periods (not enough to vomit but she'll soon learn that threshold). 2. Then work on actually entering the throat. A position with angles where the mouth and throat are aligned as opposed to perpendicular is better. She could try lying on a bed with her head hanging off the side, or couch, whatever. Relaxing is very important as to avoid injury and sore throats. She should go slow and with an object she can regulate, like a popsicle or dildo. Actually entering the esophagus can be painful at first so perhaps a numbing spray like “Deep Throat Oral Spray” or regular old “Vicks” would help. Eventually there’s a buildup of spit which makes things easier. 3. Once she’s ok with doing it by herself try it together. But be willing to go slow so she can adjust/relax and learn to like it. I agree that breathing through the nose is not the best. If something is inside of your windpipe breathing isn’t really very possible. She simply has to wait until you retreat enough to allow her a breath. Eventually you will both learn each others rhythms if you haven’t set one up from the start (which I don’t recommend. Counting makes things a bit awkward and it’s harder to concentrate on the fun). 4. Once you‘ve got all that the rest is just technique and personal preference. “Look up, look down, tongue out, tongue in, hum, shut-up” etc.

One word. Swallow. When the glans hits the back of your throat, literally start swallowing. You need to be really conscious of it at first and work at getting those muscles to work with you instead of trying to evict the "intruder" but once you recognize how to do it, it will get easier every time. One of those muscle memory things, I think. I'm curious, those of you that have suggested practicing with an inanimate object, is that something that has actually worked for y'all? Hey there, prop. The last time I went without air for too long, my body began to jerk and spasm on its own, in an involuntary desperate attempt at getting air. That was cue enough for my Master to realize my airway was cut off for too long and it was time to allow me to breathe. Since he does not wish to be vomited on, he knows if I'm lunging back, it's to protect him from that. The very few times I vomited, my lunge back was nearly violent, in an attempt to keep him clean. A couple of years ago i purchased some "Deep throat gel" from Adam and eve. It worked some but not all the way, alot better then nothing though. It did kind of numb my throat and it didn't numb him.
