a family member was ill, and i found my self on the farm in the sticks, tending chickens and helping out with the like. well, i noticed that there were two shabby porch swings with metal frames going to ruin on the land. the swings or the part you sit in are in bad shape, but i wonder if anything fun could be done with the frames? they can obviousely support a person's weight... and wouldn't it be cool if something could be done? these things used to sell for $100 a pop at wal-mart, now i'm sure my family isn't the only one with those eye-sores arround... so far i come to the problem of the possibility that the frame might tip over, so any thoughts would be appriciated. thanks-

Hang a suspension bar where the swing used to be - and use it to hold on to while Trampling!

Assuming the top of the frame is about head height or so, you could attach two eye hooks about 5 feet apart from each other to make an easy way to hang someone for flogging and put some eyehooks on the legs as well to attach wrist cuffs to (might need a length of chain or rope). If that gets hard on their shoulders, attach one or two wide boards (maybe a 1x12 or 2x12) centrally at an angle to the floor to lean against - instant "cross".

Just some first thoughts that come to mind.

Make a suspended pet platform (like a bed or sitting place) or turn it into a suspended cage. Then of course, there's the obvious sex swing or as suggested, bondage rack.

alas for all the clever ideas- the spark of this insperation, the shabby swing frame, has had it's swing removed and is to be used in the training of morning glory vines.
on the other hand, good for my mother who reckonized the shabby swing must be reused as something purposeful. i like morning glories any ways- just phoenix
