ORIGINAL: Alumbrado Sort of like yelling out the window and being upset when the cops hear you.... FB's imaginary 'Constitutional right to privacy in public places'. No. Like the cops listening into every telephone conversation you have, without a warrant. Or opening every letter at the post office before forwarding it to it's destination. Telephone conversations and sealed mail are defined by the courts as protected private communications. Yelling out a window, or posting on an internet forum, are clearly intended to be public communications. Please show me the Constitutional requirement that the police have a warrant in order to use something that the sender has knowingly made available to the public at large. Not all of the internet is the WWW, and they were tapping everything. Your email? Read. VOIP communications(telephone over the internet)? Monitored. Your preferences in porn? Recorded for future misuse. What you searched for on google? Recorded for future misuse. They have no business invading your privacy without probable cause and a warrant, and that's what they're doing.
