It's a familiar pattern in politics, don't you think? For the Democrats, it's always about sex. For the Republicans, it's always about money.
Funny, I always thought it was about sex for the republicans. What with the screaming against gays publicly, only to be caught toe-tapping in a restroom or sending dirty emails to their pages.
People complain about the money the Democrats spend when they do things like repair infrastructure, put kids in school, make jobs programs to put people back to work, and legislate things like minimum gas mileage standards, clean food, clean drinking water, and national parks.
Republicans steal, embezzle, or simply waste money on things like the prayer in schools, making sure that the only people who can marry are heterosexual couples, building Bridges To Nowhere and Fed-Exing billions of dollars on pallets to Mesopotamia, rail against gays and infidelity publicly while screwing boys, male hookers, and prostitutes.
So technically, the primary difference is the lack of sex in the Democratic party.
