if your cat is anything like mine she picked herself up, brushed herself off and gave you the "I meant to do that" look.

One of my dogs is a fluffy white Westie mix. He's so silly. I was watching TV in the living room and a fly was buzzing around. He was hopping around, snapping at it, trying to catch it in his mouth. He saw it, made a running leap, and smacked right into the wall. Meanwhile, I see all this from my perihperal vision and snorted the tea I was drinking, cracking up.

Our monster-cat Vinnie (a 20 pounder) gets dreadlocks on his flanks, and they got so bad that we had to sedate him to cut them out and brush him or let them pain him, and trust me, a 20 lb. male cat in constant annoying pain is not someone you want for a roomate. So, being broke, I consulted my mother the vet assistant, and she gave us sedatives for Vinnie. The sedatives were, unfortunately, made for 5-15 lb cats, so instead of knocking him out they made him seem a little drunk but overall he seemed to be enjoying himself. Until he jumped up on the desk...walked off of that onto the arm chair...and off of that onto nothing. He landed with a heavy thud and refused to move for a hour. We got the dreadlocks out, but needless to say, next time we sedate the cat, we're keeping him off the furniture.

We were taking care of a great dane and Uggie was a little kitten. Time came for them to meet.

Uggie was sitting on a chair and the dog comes up, the kitten batted him in the snout a few times but didn't scratch him. The dog responded by licking the kitten and the force of his mighty tongue had the kitten rolling backwards, kinda rolled into a ball. Of course the kitten came back for more. This happened a few times and we cracked up. Little Uggie wasn't scared of anything. But that's the way we raised our cats, to be sociable.

I can't remember the dog's name, we only had him for a short time. We were looking for a new home for him because his owner was a bozo and couldn't take care of him anymore. We wouldn't have picked a great dane in a million years, we lived in the upstairs of a double house.

The dog loved the porch. Mind you this dog had one blue eye and one green, and as expected was deaf. But he liked everybody. Now this was on the second floor. Well we had a visitor and the dog was out on the porch. Our visitor walks up the stairs and knocks on the door, with the dog. We were wondering, he told us the dog had jumped off the porch to greet him ! I wish I would've seen that, but I know it happened because there was the dog.

My pets are not so cute right now - brushing two Shih Tzus (who have been mildly neglected due to a lack of energy to fight with them ... stupid things will sit happily on my lap until the brush comes out) has totally worn me out.  However, my cat - I have lots of stories about her.  She is the type of cat who will run full tilt into a wall like she didn't even see it, then stagger about, shake her head, and look around to see if anyone saw her.

I have a little mini doxie puppy named Termite. Well I took him to my dads house one day and sat back and laughed as my dad played with him.
So my dad was playing hide and peek with him on the couch. Every time my dad turned his back on Termite he would act like he was going to pounce my dad and bark. My dad would turn around real quick and Termite would be sitting on the couch all nice and pretty just looking at him. This went on for a while. It totally cracked my dad up! Anyways, when dad would look back at Termite he would give us such an innocent look...like saying "Would I do that?"

hubby adopted a kitty named preciouswhen her owner's child developed allergies.  she's a very pleasant cat, but lately discovered the new fish in the fish tank.  kitty tv at its finest!well miss smarty pants decided she was going to jump from where she was to the other side of the tank, where i had both tops open and was arranging the plants inside.  the look on her face was priceless, "oh shit, mom's got the top open!"  she looked like she was suspended in midair.  she immediately  recalibrated and landed claws fully splayed, hooked into the skin of my upper arm to keep from falling into the 75 gallon tank.   i was laughing too hard to care i was bleeding.  she just looked like a cartoon character.

My snake Thecla made her way out of her enclosure and was missing several days... we did find her, draped acrossed my fish tank but she had *alas* eaten every fish in the tank and was thoroughly too stuffed to slink away quickly...

My cat, Kinky, is... odd. She is definitely appropriately named, though. She likes being spanked, HARD, with a plastic bottle or coat hanger. When she gets off she growls real low in her throat and then slinks away around a corner. If you stand still for a moment, she comes back for more!

my dog refuses to use the restroom in the rain. and will not step foot in snow. he used to walk out to the edge of the deck and lean his back end off and do his business if it had snowed or if the rain would lighten up so he would not have to get his feet dirty or wet. he was a chinese shar pei
