Far and Away.  Damn movie made me cry.  The slut [and oh, how the term applies to her] I went to see it with saw me cry and said, "You're such a sensitive guy!"

Didn't I look her dead in the face and respond, "No, I'm not.  Tom Cruise sucks that badly."

I've broken my arm.  Fallen four stories off a building, slid 600 feet down a mountain on shale.  I don't cry easily, but Gawd!  The horror...

Off topic, but one time I took a woman to see a Pedro Almodavar movie (an early one with nuns). I laughed at stuff that I didn't think was funny to test her. She laughed. She failed. I still feel like a prick about that.

I love Pedro.  I didn't see the movie you mentioned, though (Entre Tinieblas).

Mid '80's.  "Rhinestone" with Sylvester Stallone & Dolly Parton.

Holy donkey, that's going to be a hard one to beat  .

You mean James Spader, of sex lies and videotapes and The Secretary fame? The actor behind some of Hollywood's most sexually deviant roles  ? Oh God, I loved Crash 1996. So violently warped and twisted, yet it bloody well turned me on.

I'm bent.

Anything with Vince Vaughn in it is pretty much guaranteed to be suckworthy. I talk from unfortunate experience, having had nothing else to watch on transatlantic flights  .

I'm with you Kat! I watched it for the first time last weekend, and didn't understand why people liked it so much. I watched the English Patient years back at the recommendation of my mother. ummm yea, I thought it sucked. Needless to say, when she suggests a movie now, I tell her she has a bad record and should give up her movie reviewing.

We were talking about the Crash's earlier. Dig David Cronenberg. Crash is a great book too!

Battlefield Earth . . . though maybe that doesn't qualify here because I wouldn't watch the whole thing

The Ice Storm -- got suckered in by glowing reviews kissing Ang Lee's ass, and left wondering what possessed someone to write such a shitty story and then others to make it into a movie.

That film about Dianne Arbus, with Nicole Kidman. Rag... or hold on... what was it called again... Oh yeah. Fur. Bad plan.
