I just saw " Gabriel" it was fantastic, basically about darkness versus light and it is very well done, takes a minute to get your bearing at the start ( durring beginning credits) after that.. its awesome. I didnt know who any of the actors were but man the lead fella.. he is nummy heh

LaTigresse -> RE: How about movies we really really liked? (3/10/2008 12:24:31 PM)

I adore love am passionate about.......movies. Almost all movies. Way too many to mention just a list of a few. I like different movies for different reasons. Sometimes it is the writing, sometimes the story itself, sometimes it is the actors in the movie that make it.

I love the writing in "Tombstone". Great quotable lines, especially for Val Kilmer.
I love everything about "The Birdcage" it is just pure delight to watch.
And many many more, old movies, new movies, weird movies, and predictable movies.
Then yesterday I watched a movie quite by accident that I really liked. Helen Mirren in "Teaching Mrs. Tingle"

kittinSol -> RE: How about movies we really really liked? (3/10/2008 12:26:17 PM)

I just saw There Will Be Blood at the weekend - if you haven't seen it already... go down to your local Multiplex :-) .

LaTigresse -> RE: How about movies we really really liked? (3/10/2008 12:35:30 PM)

It is on my list. There are quite a few that either just came out or are soon that I want to see.

I just remembered one of the first subtitled movies I ever saw and loved, about Rodin and Camille Claudel..
