TracyTaken -> Life Sucks, even when it's good (3/7/2008 6:26:12 PM)
And life is good when it should suck.
I'm dying inside today because I kissed my daugher good-bye. She'll live on the other side of the US for now (provided they don't do a tour somewhere off continent). We drove a ways with her and then saw her off. She's going to be with her husband now because he's rotating home from Iraq. I'm really happy for her. I'm so sad.
I drove by my parents' house today (near the airport where I said good-bye to my daughter). Dad died four years ago today and Mom died two years ago next month. I was afraid to go to the house because I was already so emotional.
I looked at that house I grew up in. It didn't feel like mine. It didn't feel like it had anything to do with me. That felt *really* good.
Life is wierd.

I am sorry for your losses. Truly.
Nevertheless, here's my view:
Life is good, even when it sucks.

Life is just a chance to grow a soul.

And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.
