This is my last semester, and I only have two classes. It all feels a little like spring break to me.[;)]

Chemical Engineering's really diverse.  I like this view of it:  We make some chemicals into others, as well as the machines that conduct those processes.  (Well, we design the machines.. the actual construction of the machines is for the factories.)  ChemE's do everything from making processes to make medicines, new materials, to oil refinery stuff, to operating/designing processing plant units, etc.

Honestly, I chose it for the money.  Several sources told me it was the highest paying major back when I was trying to decide, so I went with it.  While I'm fond of working, I see work as more of a responsibility to be dealt with.  One that can be pleasant, but still not my primary purpose in life.  So I wanted something to give me as much bang for my time as possible.  Hence, ChemE.

It's truly growing on me, though.  I really just plain like the subject and the people involved in it, all the way from my advisor who's been an excellent source of tips and knowledge to that silly girl who sits infront of me, that spent her time tryingto make me feel better when I had the flu.  The material can be fun, and I can take it to ends that interest me.

Once I'm all done with this, I want to make my millions and then start my own projects.  I'm determined to make new life forms, and I'm quite sure I'll be able to do it.  (New, intelligent ones.  Not just lemmings.)  Transhumanism and the generalized definition of "individual" have touched me pretty deeply.

Sorry, ranting.  While it's technically the start of break, I still haven't slept yet.. so I'm in this awful state of confussion and disorientation of thoughts.  Time for some sleep for me!

I hope it all goes well for you this break.  ;)  Since I'm sure I'll read it tommorow.. what's journalism like?  By this, I mean.. how do you feel about it?  What're some thoughts on your likes/dislikes?

I wish I had done that.  Good for you.   Maybe you can keep monsanto in check.

a couple of my profs, darlings that they are, have assigned us papers over the break, one scheduled a test we have to attend campus to take.  i'm disabled, online classes were supposed to be easier because i could take the tests at home.  so for me, spring break will be just like any other week, working my tail off to complete my research and then write papers.  yippee!

Papers over the break?!!![sm=mad.gif][sm=boxer.gif][sm=boohoo.gif]That is TOTAL bs!!
I was upset that we're only getting one week.
Of course, now, we have about eight and a half inches of snow, and it's still coming down. They're predicting we may end up with 12 inches, so, all of the Louisville people should have plenty of time for CM over the next couple of days.
Spring snow-in is more like it here...

my spring break starts Sunday night (after hosting an all ages rock show) and ends on the 26th - over 2 weeks of hiding from bands and catching up on sleep
