Two words...Forest Park. I'm not sure when you'll be going, but there iare all sorts of things there...the St Louis Zoo, the Science museum, botanical gardens.....spring comes fast, so if you'll be there like in a month, then you should hit it about right...... There are a couple of casinos on the Illinois side of the river....Just try not to go there after dark...one is in East St Louis, the Casino Queen, and I think they were putting another one up...maybe a harrah's...There is also one in Alton, IL, also across the river. Grant's Farm is sort of cool too...they keep the Budweiser Clydesdales there...that's in MO....they have a webiste, can't remember which suburb they are actually in. Should you decide to make the trip to Chicago, there is the Shedd Aquarium, the planetarium, several art museums....and all sorts of great places to eat! Take 55 right downtown.....you'll end up near all of the above....they are all down by the lake. Navy Pier may be fun too...but winter tends to hang out longer in Chicago, so make sure you dress accordingly. Hope this helps.....it's been a bit since I've been in either place. Again, since there is no indication of when you'llbe in STL, there are things you can do indoors and out.
