The best thing about reaching St Louis is that there are only 300 miles till Chicago.

Only enjoyable thing I can think of doing in St Louis is planning a trip to Chicago.

Actually, no...I've been to St Louis (thrice), and except for leaving your hotel and running as fast as you can (or...leaving 11 hours before your meeting and sitting patiently, waiting for the Starbucks to open) before the heat overwhelms you and you suddenly realize "it's actually hotter here (wherever you are at any given moment anywhere near a sidewalk) than anything I could POSSIBLY imagine having read the ENTIRE Bible"....

I'd have to say....other than looking for the nearest air conditioned building....no...there's nothing fun to do in St Louis.

You could bang me, about 3 times a day and leave a big wad of cash on the nightstand before you go get me some dinner and restore the depleted lube cache.
Repeat for days 2-7

Probably should have stated it as I could bang you, about 3 times a day. The other way upon rereading sounds like i'd be getting it in the pooper.

I55 is probaly the boring-est drive in the country.   It is neat 40 miles to Chicago- which from the hills of Pennsylvania is sureal- like an industrial wasteland-  but my hometown.  Archer and Harlem- spent many times there.  which i met my bf of 7 years at the bus stop at 63rd st.    the southwest side had terrible mass transit.

Two words...Forest Park.  I'm not sure when you'll be going, but there iare all sorts of things there...the St Louis Zoo, the Science museum, botanical gardens.....spring comes fast, so if you'll be there like in a month, then you should hit it about right......  There are a couple of casinos on the Illinois side of the river....Just try not to go there after dark...one is in East St Louis, the Casino Queen, and I think they were putting another one up...maybe a harrah's...There is also one in Alton, IL, also across the river.  Grant's Farm is sort of cool too...they keep the Budweiser Clydesdales there...that's in MO....they have a webiste, can't remember which suburb they are actually in.

Should you decide to make the trip to Chicago, there is the Shedd Aquarium, the planetarium, several art museums....and all sorts of great places to eat!  Take 55 right downtown.....you'll end up near all of the above....they are all down by the lake.  Navy Pier may be fun too...but winter tends to hang out longer in Chicago, so make sure you dress accordingly.

Hope this helps.....it's been a bit since I've been in either place.  Again, since there is no indication of when you'llbe in STL, there are things you can do indoors and out.
