Bound2One -> RE: What makes life good? (3/8/2008 8:53:06 PM)

Watching my kids having fun or succeeding in something they've worked for; having the time to sit on the beach on a hot July day, jumping in the water to cool off; laying next to Master wiped out with a content smile on my face, knowing he's wearing a similar one; drinks with my girlfriends in the hot tub; holidays with all the family hanging out; driving with some really great music on a warm day with all the windows open and the moonroof open.

Gris, you need to get a woman and I mean fast!  LOL  I enjoy that wonderful "ping" sound of a perfectly tee shot as much as the next golfer, but I would prefer a rockin' blowjob anyday!  I can always redo a less-than-perfect tee shot...lol.

Hearing Master say "good girl"
An outing with all three ums- everyone getting along and having fun
Seeing the ums grow true and strong and dealing with their father's death
Watching my would-be-dropout students succeed and graduate
A wonderful, loving, relationship with my mother
Harmonizing
Old and new friends
Accepting life for what it is and relishing every pleasure
Not getting hung up on the little things
Finally having a love in which I am fully accepted in all my darkness and light

Lumus -> RE: What makes life good? (3/9/2008 10:31:55 AM)

Hmm.  The things that make me happiest also hold the potential to make me the most miserable, so really, the only constant for my own happiness is this:

Knowing that all things end, and being content with them as they are.

I find that personal philosophy helps me immensely.  Mind you, that's probably a wee beyond the scope of the initial OP's concept, but it's realistic enough for me.

Not at all beyond it, Lumus. Very zen-like, and something I think about regularly.

ownedgirlie -> RE: What makes life good? (3/9/2008 11:51:11 AM)

Just wanted to add, thanks to an iPod from Master and between him, my friends & brothers, and iTunes, I've been able to start rebuilding my stolen music collection.  I forgot just how important music is in my life.

In the words of Shawn Colvin...."...and if there were no music, I would not get through..."

So, music should be added to my list.  [:)]
