I have a question I would like to ask of all of you that wear a collar. The question is, what style you favour, the ring like Gorean turian style, the flat style or whatever?

May I also ask what size is the collar, for what size neck is the device made for?

More research for college.

my Master chose my collar, my preference had nothing to do with it. However, i am extremely allergice to nickel and chrome so Master chose a silver choker style necklace that is unique, it looks like a strand of barbed wire. i get quite a few comments and compliments on it. The real collar is intangible of course as its worn on my heart, not my neck.

if i show you the collar that my ex Mistress got for me..... You will freak out!!! Something like Sid Vicious used to wear one like that from the sex pistols!! The only difference is that i'm not a punk rocker, a real heavy chain that wears my neck out and makes me wilt... The padlock hurts my chest as it rubs on it and bangs on it.

Rustic is good, I like rustic, heavy, with forge marks,scale and rust like decoration, a look as if it was made by hand especially for, and I am making one, exept I am going to advance the corrosion with nitric acid, polish other bits, the wear surfaces and leave the forge scale on, then seal it all. The site device bondage and infernal restraints is a never ending source of inspiration.

I answer to petpete, I have a photo I will upload here showing a collar made by a Californian blacksmith, which is yet more insiration for my craft skills, although his title of what it represents, even I can make no sense of it and I have a pretty fare ranging imagination.

You could do the same without the nitric by using fertilizer water, or coal water and let them lay in it outside for a while. Less dangerous.

I'll be happy to let you know on the 23rd of this month when Mistress presents me with Her collar.

I know it is a heavy, stainless steel chain-type collar. That's all I know. I might have to take some pics to show it off!

I'm with eyesopened...my true collar is worn around my heart, too.

i have 3 collars however i love my Gor eternity collar made by Vad Farkas. when i review metal/goth bands, i wear my leather collar. the 3rd one i don't wear - my skin is sensitive having the rough metal links around my neck.

the collar i wear is a fine stainless steel cable with a silver heart engraved with Daddy's name for me engraved on it. he has also given me an ID bracelet with that same name engraved on it. and i have a deep blue leather collar from him too.

and one of these days he's talked about getting me http://www.ringofsteel.net/shackles.html the wrist shackle shown here....the one that fastens with screws.

None of the above. I wear a silver chain with a heart shaped pendant on it. Not a choker. I think it's 18" long and I put a 3" necklace extender on it because otherwise the point of the heart would stick into the hollow at the base of my neck which was a real pain.

I have two collars: the first is stainless steel chainmail (box design) that was made by Mistress. This one is my "everyday collar". The other is the Gorean style and is my "formal" collar.

yes i wear a 24/7 Collar and i am proud of it. She gave it to me acouple of days before Christmas and she is the one for me. It is a Ring that she bought for me so sh was telling me i am not going no where. It took me awhile before i met her and it only took 4 month to get my collar.

I am doing a hons degree in applied art, specialising in metal art, both jewellery type stuff in precious metals and larger stuff out of wrought steel, forge work etc. My theme running through all my projects is kinky paraphenalia.The question I asked was for a design I have to do involving raising and sinking metal with hammers (anticlastic raising),and I am designing a hollow flat D section collar with a sliding hidden hinge,(hinge withdraws ito the collar when it is closed and is not visible from the outside) The lock being a simple blacksmith lock, but the security is in the wards that are going to be made to include a special S shaped key. The idea is it is to appear heavy, but being hollow it is light, the rounded surfaces make it comfortable to wear.All goes well with the prototype in copper then I will bear the expense on sterling silver, no other metals being used, just silver.

Whence I get a sub,it is my art she will wear about her neck and with that precious metal, a fair indication of what someone means to me.

When i wore one with my first dom it was a black leather dog collar with silver metal highlights. I have no idea of the size--for a large dog LOL.
