I feel it a compliment, a priveledge and an acceptance of what I am and what I stand for.
I think the term must be earned, however, not just thrown out there.

E mail comes in.."I'm a submissive and I like your profile."

call me Master Kevin.....NOT!

To be called "Master", in my opinion, is a term of endearment and trust, much like the term "Pet", which I use for my submissive.

which reminds me, I need to Master Bait, Pet is many miles away.... and Kevin is Horny as a toad laying on a rock in the warm California sun,,,Nekked....just thought I'd share[:D]

I agree with you mate, Lusti had the right to call me Master when she felt I truely was not before. Now she is the only one with the right to call me that. If someone wants to call me with a title, I tell them to use sir otherwise plain ol WK or even Kev will suffice. And as you want to choke the monkey, be careful of the lubricant you use, olive oil - good, olive oil with chilli peppers - bad, or so I been told. Happy stroking mate....

You've just given me a wonderful idea Wicked......hmmmm, no wonder you wear that adjective before your name.

Fastlane looks feverishly for chilli peppers.

sultryvoice -> RE: To be called Master (9/27/2005 5:25:46 PM)

The way it has been explained to me is , a dominant, male or female, earns the title of Master and Mistress. These people have studied and earned the title they hold dear. Someone just doesn't go out there and call themselves Master ot Mistress. The titles are earned for what they have done for the lifestyle community, their contributions, their knowledge, the respect they show and give to others. It isn't a gimme!

Of course, this is my opinion but it is also the opinion of some well-know folks in this lifestyle..

Respectfully,
sultry

Vana'shae what a butiful word, is that Gorean for Master?

i dont use Master to refer to somone if my Master have not experridly said i should, i can however refer to a man that ask for it as Sir, i dont usualy though as i dont want to ofend anyone.

To the best of my knowledge it is in fact Kassar and not Gorean. I've seen two meanings, : Master and My Master. When such names are used, I believe what matters is the meaning placed on it.

Its good to see you posting again lass.

nephandi -> RE: To be called Master (9/27/2005 6:25:52 PM)

Thank you for the information, it is such a butiful word, do you think the Goreans will mind if i use it in a ritual?

Thanks for the welcome back, oh and by the way sorry if that mail i sendt you were a mess, i get even more problems writing corectly when i have a bad period.
